Beta-elements and divided congruences [PDF]
The f-invariant is an injective homomorphism from the 2-line of the Adams-Novikov spectral sequence to a group which is closely related to divided congruences of elliptic modular forms.

Topological invariant for holographic Weyl-Nodal line coexisting semimetal
The presence of a topological phase in a topological many-body system can be distinguished through the analysis of topological invariants. In the present study, the topological invariants for the strongly coupled holographic semimetals have been ...

Maximal multiplicity of the line at infinity in a sextic polynomial differential system
We investigate planar polynomial differential systems of degree six having an invariant straight line at infinity with high algebraic multiplicity in the sense of the Poincaré compactification.

Passive Source Localization Using Acoustic Intensity in Multipath-Dominant Shallow-Water Waveguide
The array invariant technique has been recently proposed for passive source localization in the ocean. It has successfully estimated the source–receiver horizontal range in multipath-dominant shallow-water waveguides.

Contour lines of the discrete scale-invariant rough surfaces [PDF]
We study the fractal properties of the 2d discrete scale invariant (DSI) rough surfaces. The contour lines of these rough surfaces show clear DSI. In the appropriate limit the DSI surfaces converge to the scale invariant rough surfaces. The fractal properties of the 2d DSI rough surfaces apart from possessing the discrete scale invariance property ...

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

ppbar enhancement in B and J/Psi decay
The near-threshold enhancement in the ppbar invariant mass spectrum from the B^+ -> K^+ ppbar decay reported recently by the BaBar Collaboration is studied within the J\"ulich NNbar model.

Group Analysis of the Plane Steady Vortex Submodel of Ideal Gas with Varying Entropy
The submodel of ideal gas motion being invariant with respect to the time translation and the space translation by one direct has 4 integrals in the case of vortex flows with the varying entropy.

On-Line Video Motion Estimation by Invariant Receptive Inputs [PDF]
In this paper, we address the problem of estimating the optical flow in long-term video sequences. We devise a computational scheme that exploits the idea of receptive fields, in which the pixel flow does not only depends on the brightness level of the pixel itself, but also on neighborhood-related information.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.
