Low-energy effects of Lepton Flavour Universality Violation

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
The persisting anomalous data in semileptonic B-decays point towards New Physics models exhibiting large sources of Lepton Flavour Universality Violation. In this work we generalise previous studies by considering frameworks which include an enlarged set

The problem of gauge invariance in Dirac field theory [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2003
Quantum field theory is assumed to be gauge invariant. However it is well known that when certain quantities are calculated using perturbation theory the results are not gauge invariant. The non-gauge invariant terms have to be removed in order to obtain a physically correct result.

The Poisson structure of the mean-field equations in the Phi^4 theory

open access: yes, 1998
We show that the mean-field time dependent equations in the Phi^4 theory can be put into a classical non-canonical hamiltonian framework with a Poisson structure which is a generalization of the standard Poisson bracket.

Invariant meshless discretization schemes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A method is introduced for the construction of meshless discretization schemes which preserve Lie symmetries of the differential equations that these schemes approximate. The method exploits the fact that equivariant moving frames provide a way of associating invariant functions to non-invariant functions.

A Nonparametric Peak Finder Algorithm and Its Application in Searches for New Physics

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2013
We have developed an algorithm for nonparametric fitting and extraction of statistically significant peaks in the presence of statistical and systematic uncertainties.

Experimental Non-Violation of the Bell Inequality

open access: yesEntropy, 2018
A finite non-classical framework for qubit physics is described that challenges the conclusion that the Bell Inequality has been shown to have been violated experimentally, even approximately.

Differential Invariants and Construction of Conditionally Invariant Equations [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2003
New concept of conditional differential invariant is discussed that would allow description of equations invariant with respect to an operator under a certain condition. Example of conditional invariants of the projective operator is presented.

Model Independent Primordial Power Spectrum from Maxima, Boomerang, and DASI Data

open access: yes, 2002
A model-independent determination of the primordial power spectrum of matter density fluctuations could uniquely probe physics of the very early universe, and provide powerful constraints on inflationary models.

A Polynomially Irreducible Functional Basis of Hemitropic Invariants of Piezoelectric Tensors [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
For piezoelectric tensors, Olive (2014) proposed a minimal integrity basis of 495 hemitropic invariants, which is also a functional basis. In this article, we construct a new functional basis of hemitropic invariants of piezoelectric tensors, using the approach of Smith and Zheng.

Automorphisms of Real 4 Dimensional Lie Algebras and the Invariant Characterization of Homogeneous 4-Spaces

open access: yes, 2002
The automorphisms of all 4-dimensional, real Lie Algebras are presented in a comprehensive way. Their action on the space of $4\times 4$, real, symmetric and positive definite, matrices, defines equivalence classes which are used for the invariant ...
