Signal Processing for Magnetoencephalography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Magnetoencephalography (MEG) is a non-invasive technology for imaging human brain function. Contemporary methods of analysing MEG data include dipole fitting, minimum norm estimation (MNE) and beamforming.

Dual‐Network Protein Hydrogels Promote Rapid Hemostasis and Immune‐Regulated Scarless Tissue Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dual‐network protein hydrogel substantially improves hemostasis and scar‐free healing. The adaptive network maintains intimate tissue contact while providing strong wet adhesion, tunable mechanics, and controlled degradation. Concurrent ROS scavenging and M2 polarization suppress fibrotic pathways, preventing scar formation.

Integrated Hydrophilic Interdigitated Network for Silicone Rubber via a Gradient Polarity Modification Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work overcomes the long‐standing challenge of hydrophilic modification of silicone rubber via a gradient polarity modification strategy. By constructing a hydrophilic interpenetrating network within cured SR, simultaneous surface‐to‐bulk modification is achieved while enabling monitoring through a Eu3+ complex fluorescent tracer.

Heterointerface Engineering of Bismuth Nanosheets/Nitrogen‐Doped Carbon Nanoleaves Enables High‑Performance Electrochemical Dechlorination

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bismuth nanosheets integrated with nitrogen‐doped carbon nanoleaves are constructed via a 2D‐on‐2D heterointerface engineering strategy. The resulting BiNS/NCL electrode delivers high chloride adsorption capacity, fast kinetics, and stable cyclability. A built‐in electric field at the heterointerface promotes chloride electrosorption and stabilizes the

Benchmarking of small-signal dynamics of single-phase PLLs

open access: yes, 2015
Phase-looked Loop (PLL) is a critical component for the control and grid synchronization of grid-connected power converters. This paper presents a benchmarking study on the small-signal dynamics of three commonly used PLLs for single-phase converters ...

A Worm‐Inspired Origami Robot with Multimodal Locomotion for Adaptive Mobility in Complex Pipeline Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An origami worm‐inspired robot achieves multimodal locomotion in confined pipelines through mechatronic integration that embeds actuation, control, and communication within each origami module. Large, reversible configuration and dimensional changes enable 25 gaits synthesized by a unified framework across peristaltic, inchworm, and wheel‐rolling modes

CK2α Deficiency Drives Myocardial Fibrosis via Desmin‐Induced Mitochondrial Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CK2α preserves mitochondrial homeostasis by phosphorylating Desmin to recruit Cryab, ensuring proper filament assembly. CK2α deficiency disrupts this interaction, causing mitochondrial dysfunction, metabolic shifts, bioenergetic failure, and oxidative stress—ultimately establishing a pro‐fibrotic environment that drives cardiac fibrosis.

Estimation of the signal subspace without estimation of the inverse covariance matrix [PDF]

open access: yes
Let a high-dimensional random vector X can be represented as a sum of two components - a signal S, which belongs to some low-dimensional subspace S, and a noise component N.

Hadamard Matrix Slicing Single‐Pixel Imaging: Establishing a Linear‐Array‐Inspired Paradigm for N‐fold Acceleration Single‐Pixel Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To overcome two‐dimensional modulation bottlenecks, Hadamard Matrix Slicing Single‐Pixel Imaging (HMS‐SPI) establishes an efficient one‐dimensional imaging paradigm. By slicing the traditional Hadamard matrix into one‐dimensional encoding vectors and spatially expanding them, the required measurement patterns decrease by a factor of N.
