INVSID 1.0: An Inverse System Identification Toolbox for MATLAB

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The inverse system identification toolbox named INVSID 1.0 for MATLAB, which is used to identify the inversion of single-input single-output systems, is developed.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Generalized modes in Bayesian inverse problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Uncertainty quantification requires efficient summarization of high- or even infinite-dimensional (i.e., non-parametric) distributions based on, e.g., suitable point estimates (modes) for posterior distributions arising from model-specific prior ...

Identification of the permeability field for three-dimensional reservoir using the results of geophysical well survey

open access: yesGeoresursy
A model problem of the permeability field identification for a three-dimensional reservoir opened by a large number of wells in the conditions of stationary singlephase fluid filtration is considered.

Spatial and single‐nuclei transcriptomics reveals idiosyncratic and generic patterns in papillary and anaplastic thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...

Epigenetic silencing of the liver‐specific lncRNA LUNAR promotes liver cancer progression via NOTCH activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
LUNAR is a liver‐specific long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) that is highly expressed in normal liver but becomes epigenetically silenced in hepatocellular carcinoma through promoter hypermethylation. Loss of LUNAR is associated with NOTCH activation, epithelial–mesenchymal transition, and metastasis, whereas restoring LUNAR restrains metastatic progression ...

IDENTIFICATION OF AN ARBITRARY SHAPE RIGID OBSTACLE ILLUMINATED BY FLAT ACOUSTIC WAVE USING NEAR FIELD DATA

open access: yesInformatyka, Automatyka, Pomiary w Gospodarce i Ochronie Środowiska
The inverse problem concerning the identification of rigid surfaces of scattering objects formulated in the frequency domain is presented in this paper.

Intrapatient tumour heterogeneity and clonal evolution in an autopsy study of metastatic salivary gland cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumour heterogeneity and clonal evolution of metastatic salivary gland cancer were evaluated in two patients with adenoid carcinoma and one patient with myoepithelial carcinoma. Radiology‐guided autopsy enabled multi‐region sampling (total samples n = 149), followed by whole‐genome sequencing and phylogenetic reconstruction (17 tumour samples, 4–7 per ...

"Uniform Measures On Inverse Limit Spaces" [PDF]

open access: yes
Motivated by problems from dynamic economic models, we consider the problem of defining a uniform measure on inverse limit spaces. Let f be a function from a compact metric space X into itself where f is continuous, onto and piecewise one-to-one.
