Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

Regularisation problems at the determination of the acoustic power of sound sources
This paper presents exploratory problems of regularisation of the inverse method for the investigation of the characteristics of acoustic sources at industrial conditions.

Thermal modelling of cooling tool cutting when milling by electrical analogy
Measurement temperatures by (some devises) are applied immediately after shut-down and may be corrected for the temperature drop that occurs in the interval between shut-down and measurement.

Moving lattice kinks and pulses: an inverse method
We develop a general mapping from given kink or pulse shaped travelling-wave solutions including their velocity to the equations of motion on one-dimensional lattices which support these solutions. We apply this mapping - by definition an inverse method -

This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Low Frequency Interactive Auralization Based on a Plane Wave Expansion
This paper addresses the problem of interactive auralization of enclosures based on a finite superposition of plane waves. For this, room acoustic simulations are performed using the Finite Element (FE) method.

Differential Methods in Inverse Scattering [PDF]
This paper discusses a new set of differential methods for solving the inverse scattering problem associated to the propagation of waves in an inhomogeneous medium. By writing the medium equations in the form of a two-component system describing the interaction of rightward and leftward propagating waves, the causality of the propagation phenomena is ...

This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...
