Inverse modelling of European N2O emissions: assimilating observations from different networks [PDF]
We describe the setup and first results of an inverse modelling system for atmospheric N2O, based on a four-dimensional variational (4DVAR) technique and the atmospheric transport zoom model TM5. We focus in this study on the European domain, utilizing a

A new lifetime distribution with two parameters, known as the sine half-logistic inverse Rayleigh distribution, is proposed and studied as an extension of the half-logistic inverse Rayleigh model.

Estimating models of inverse systems
This paper considers the problem of how to estimate a model of the inverse of a system. The use of inverse systems can be found in many applications, such as feedforward control and power amplifier predistortion. The inverse model is here estimated with the purpose of using it in cascade with the system itself, as an inverter.

In the work, in order to solve the inverse problem, i.e. the problem of finding values of the additional quantities (mass, elasticity), the beam inverse model was proposed. Analysis of this model allows finding such a value of additional mass (elasticity)

An inverse seesaw model with A4-modular symmetry
We discuss an inverse seesaw model based on right-handed fermion specific U(1) gauge symmetry and A4-modular symmetry. These symmetries forbid unnecessary terms and restrict structures of Yukawa interactions which are relevant to inverse seesaw mechanism.

Solving inverse scattering problems via reduced-order model embedding procedures
We present a reduced-order model (ROM) methodology for inverse scattering problems in which the ROMs are data-driven, i.e. they are constructed directly from data gathered by sensors.

Correlation, Independance and Inverse Modeling [PDF]
Learning from examples has a wide number of forms depending on what is to be learned from which available information. One of these form is y = f( x ) where the input-output pair ( x , y ) is the available information and frepresents the process mapping ${\bf x}\in\cal X$ to ${\bf y}\in\cal Y$.

MATHEMATICAL MODELS FOR CHROMOSOMAL INVERSIONS [PDF]
INCE a formal characterization of the nature of inversions has not been made to date, this paper will hypothesize mathematical models for the occurrence of inversions of various lengths, obtain the associated probability distributions of lengths and midpoints of chromosomal inversions, and compare the hypothesized models with two sets of data.

Applications of inverse simulation to a nonlinear model of an underwater vehicle [PDF]
Inverse simulation provides an important alternative to conventional simulation and to more formal mathematical techniques of model inversion. The application of inverse simulation methods to a nonlinear dynamic model of an unmanned underwater ...
