We investigated the toxicity of 12 active compounds commonly found in herbal weight loss supplements (WLS) using human liver and colon cell models. Epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate was the only compound showing significant toxicity. Metabolic profiling revealed protein degradation, disrupted energy and lipid metabolism suggesting that the inclusion of EGCG ...

Inverzná optimalizácia v obehových rozvrhoch autobusov [PDF]
In this paper we study nontraditional model which can occur for the bus scheduling problems. It is motivated by answer to the question: At what minimum shortening of the driving time in some sections of the transport network will happen that an existing ...

Tomography of small residual stresses
In this paper we study the inverse problem of determining the residual stress in Man's model using tomographic data. Theoretically, the tomographic data is obtained at zero approximation of geometrical optics for Man's residual stress model.

NF90–NF45 functions as a negative regulator of methyltransferase‐like 3/14 (METTL3/14)‐mediated N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) modification on primary microRNAs (pri‐miRNAs). NF90–NF45 binds to anti‐oncogenic pri‐miRNAs and inhibits their m6A modification, thereby suppressing the biogenesis of anti‐oncogenic miRNAs.

One of the challenges in Fischer–Tropsch synthesis (FTS) is the high reduction temperatures, which cause sintering and the formation of silicates. These lead to pore blockages and the coverage of active metals, particularly in conventional catalyst ...

Some Phenomenologies of a Simple Scotogenic Inverse Seesaw Model
In this paper, we discuss and calculate the electroweak parameters $R_l$, $A_l$, and $N_{\nu}^l$ in a model that combine inverse seesaw with the scotogenic model. Dark matter relic density is also considered.

Aged human bmMSCs are seeded in the scaffold. Osteoblastic induction can slightly increase cell's bone‐forming activity to produce bone‐like tissues, shown as the sporadic xylenol orange‐stained spots (the lower left image). Notably, pioglitazone plus EGCG co‐treatment dramatically increases cell's bone‐forming activity and bone‐like tissue production (

Trajectory Control of Flexible Manipulators Using Forward and Inverse Models with Neural Networks
This study explores trajectory control in flexible manipulators using neural-network-based forward and inverse modeling. Unlike traditional approaches that enhance precision by increasing structural rigidity—often at the cost of added weight and energy ...

Generalized vortex-model for the inverse cascade of two-dimensional turbulence
We generalize Kirchhoff's point vortex model of two-dimensional fluid motion to a rotor model which exhibits an inverse cascade by the formation of rotor clusters.

Meta‐analysis fails to show any correlation between protein abundance and ubiquitination changes
We analyzed over 50 published proteomics datasets to explore the relationship between protein levels and ubiquitination changes across multiple experimental conditions and biological systems. Although ubiquitination is often associated with protein degradation, our analysis shows that changes in ubiquitination do not globally correlate with changes in ...
