ISAR Imaging of Ship Targets Based on an Integrated Cubic Phase Bilinear Autocorrelation Function
For inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging of a ship target moving with ocean waves, the image constructed with the standard range-Doppler (RD) technique is blurred and the range-instantaneous-Doppler (RID) technique has to be used to improve ...

Measurements and analysis of the radar cross section of chaff dipoles
Photo of a filament under test in a stereo‐foam support. Abstract A free space test method to measure the Radar Cross Section (RCS) of single dipole elements is presented. The method is such that dipoles can be measured over a large range of frequencies, in free space and without the need of an anechoic chamber.

This paper proposes a three‐dimensional interferometric inverse synthetic aperture radar imaging algorithm for the ship targets based on the cubic phase signal (CPS) model. This method approximates the azimuth echo signal as a CPS and utilises the particle swarm optimisation algorithm to estimate the higher order phase coefficients.

3-D High-Resolution ISAR Imaging for Noncooperative Air Targets
This article uses the inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging method to present real-world tests on 3-D radar imaging of noncooperative air targets. Initially, the fundamentals of 3-D ISAR are introduced.

Ship dynamics for maritime ISAR imaging. [PDF]
Demand is increasing for imaging ships at sea. Conventional SAR fails because the ships are usually in motion, both with a forward velocity, and other linear and angular motions that accompany sea travel. Because the target itself is moving, this becomes

A novel translational motion compensation algorithm based on motion parameter estimation is proposed for spaceborne Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar imaging of air target under low signal‐to‐noise ratio condition. The algorithm compensates for both distance migration and Doppler migration caused by the first‐order and second‐order motion components of ...

Three dimensional scattering center imaging techniques [PDF]
Two methods to image scattering centers in 3-D are presented. The first method uses 2-D images generated from Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR) measurements taken by two vertically offset antennas.

Sparse representation for the ISAR image reconstruction [PDF]
In this paper, a sparse representation for the data form a multi-input multi-output based inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) system is derived for two dimensions.
