Omnibus goodness‐of‐fit tests for univariate continuous distributions based on trigonometric moments
ABSTRACT We propose a new omnibus goodness‐of‐fit test based on trigonometric moments of probability‐integral‐transformed data. The test builds on the framework of the LK test introduced by Langholz and Kronmal [J. Amer. Statist. Assoc. 86 (1991), 1077–1084], but fully exploits the covariance structure of the associated trigonometric statistics.

Estimation in Inverse Weibull Distribution Based on Randomly Censored Data
This article deals with the estimation of the parameters and reliability characteristics in inverse Weibull (IW) distribution based on the random censoring model. The censoring distribution is also taken as an IW distribution.

The joint survival super learner: A super learner for right‐censored data
ABSTRACT Risk prediction models are widely used to guide real‐world decision‐making in areas such as healthcare and economics, and they also play a key role in estimating nuisance parameters in semiparametric inference. The super learner is a machine learning framework that combines a library of prediction algorithms into a meta‐learner using cross ...

This study investigates laser shock peening for enhancing fatigue performance of riveted aerospace aluminum joints. A comparative approach with cold expansion combines fatigue testing and synchrotron X‐ray methods. Integrating mechanical testing with residual stress and strain characterization provides insights into how different treatments affect the ...

A comparative study of estimation methods for the New Sine Topp-Leone Fréchet distribution
Modeling and fitting complex datasets are crucial domains in various scientific fields. This article presents the sine Topp-Leone Fréchet distribution, a new probability distribution obtained by integrating the Fréchet distribution with the sine Topp ...

THE DOUBLY-TRUNCATED EXPONENTIATED INVERSE WEIBULL DISTRIBUTION
In this study, we introduce the five-parameter doubly-truncated exponentiated inverse Weibull distribution, where the truncation points are known, and consider its basic properties. Formulas for moment generating function, characteristic function, mean, variance and kurtosis of the distribution are derived.

Development and Applications of a New Hybrid Weibull-Inverse Weibull Distribution
This study introduces and applies a novel statistical model known as the hybrid Weibull inverse Weibull (HWIW) distribution, which combines the characteristics of the Weibull and inverse Weibull distributions to provide a more flexible model for representing real-world data, especially those characterized by asymmetry or extreme values.
