Nonlinear Seismic Signal Denoising Using Template Matching with Time Difference Detection Method
As seismic exploration shifts towards areas with more complex surface and subsurface structures, the complexity of the geological conditions often results in seismic data with low signal-to-noise ratio. It is therefore essential to implement denoising in

Pyroclastic Flow Deposits and InSAR: Analysis of Long-Term Subsidence at Augustine Volcano, Alaska
Deformation of pyroclastic flow deposits begins almost immediately after emplacement, and continues thereafter for months or years. This study analyzes the extent, volume, thickness, and variability in pyroclastic flow deposits (PFDs) on Augustine ...

On F-inverse covers of inverse monoids
An inverse monoid \(F\) in which every class with respect to the smallest group congruence has a maximal element in the natural partial order is called an \(F\)-inverse monoid. Such a monoid \(F\) is an \(F\)-inverse cover of an inverse monoid \(M\) if there is an idempotent-separating onto homomorphism \(F\to M\).

Facies-Constrained Kriging Interpolation Method for Parameter Modeling
In seismic exploration, establishing a reliable parameter model (such as velocity, density, impedance) is crucial for seismic migration imaging and reservoir characterization.

This paper focuses on the description of several controversial properties of Negative Inversion (NI) in Standard English. The first topic is the fact that, according to some scholars, subject-auxiliary (subj-aux) inversion when there is preposed negative

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Inverse melting and inverse freezing: A spin model [PDF]
Systems of highly degenerate ordered or frozen state may exhibit inverse melting (reversible crystallization upon heating) or inverse freezing (reversible glass transition upon heating). This phenomena is reviewed, and a list of experimental demonstrations and theoretical models is presented.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Subsurface drainage systems are commonly used to remove surplus water from the soil profile of a poorly drained farmland. Traditional methods for drainage mapping involve the use of tile probes and trenching equipment that are time-consuming, labor ...
