One-dimensional Quaternion Fourier Transform and Some Applications

open access: yesBulletin of Computational Applied Mathematics, 2021
The Fourier transform is a very useful tool in many areas. This transform has been defined in many contexts, as complex numbers, quaternions, and Clifford algebras.

Retrieval of Boreal Forest Heights Using an Improved Random Volume over Ground (RVoG) Model Based on Repeat-Pass Spaceborne Polarimetric SAR Interferometry: The Case Study of Saihanba, China

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
Spaceborne polarimetric synthetic aperture radar interferometry (PolInSAR) has the potential to deal with large-scale forest height inversion. However, the inversion is influenced by strong temporal decorrelation interference resulting from a large ...

A unified radon inversion formula [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Physics, 1978
A Radon inversion formula which holds in spaces of even or odd dimension n is obtained for functions which admit to a certain general decomposition. The inversion formula which is one member of a Gegenbauer transform pair is used to generate some interesting definite integrals involving special functions.

Representing derivatives of Chebyshev polynomials by Chebyshev polynomials and related questions

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2017
A recursion formula for derivatives of Chebyshev polynomials is replaced by an explicit formula. Similar formulae are derived for scaled Fibonacci numbers.

How reliable are process-based 222radon emission maps? Results from an atmospheric 222radon inversion in Europe [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics
The radioactive noble gas radon (222Rn) is a suitable tracer for atmospheric transport and mixing processes that can be used to evaluate and calibrate atmospheric transport models or to estimate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions using the so-called radon ...

Nonparametric Multivariate Density Estimation: Case Study of Cauchy Mixture Model

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
Estimation of probability density functions (pdf) is considered an essential part of statistical modelling. Heteroskedasticity and outliers are the problems that make data analysis harder. The Cauchy mixture model helps us to cover both of them.

On an inversion formula [PDF]

open access: yesGlasgow Mathematical Journal, 1980
In this paper the author considers the problem of finding a formula of inversion for the integral transform defined by the equationwhere a >0, k > 0 and r-1f(r) εL (a, ∞). This transform appeared in connection with an earlier investigation [4] in which an attempt was made to devise an integral transform that could be adapted to the solution of ...

Terrestrial ecosystem carbon flux estimated using GOSAT and OCO-2 XCO2 retrievals [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics, 2019
In this study, both the Greenhouse Gases Observing Satellite (GOSAT) and the Orbiting Carbon Observatory 2 (OCO-2) XCO2 retrievals produced by the NASA Atmospheric CO2 Observations from Space (ACOS) project (version b7.3) are assimilated within the GEOS ...
