Inversion Formulae on Permutations Avoiding 321 [PDF]

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Combinatorics, 2015
We will study the inversion statistic of $321$-avoiding permutations, and obtain that the number of $321$-avoiding permutations on $[n]$ with $m$ inversions is given by\[|\mathcal {S}_{n,m}(321)|=\sum_{b \vdash m}{n-\frac{\Delta(b)}{2}\choose l(b)}.\]where the sum runs over all compositions $b=(b_1,b_2,\ldots,b_k)$ of $m$, i.e.,\[m=b_1+b_2+\cdots+b_k ...

Ferroelectricity in Antiferromagnetic Wurtzite Nitrides

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We establish MnSiN2${\rm MnSiN}_2$ and MnGeN2${\rm MnGeN}_2$ as aristotypes of a new multiferroic wurtzite family that simultaneously exhibits ferroelectricity and antiferromagnetism with altermagnetic spin splitting. By strategically substituting alkaline‐earth metals, we predict new materials with coexisting switchable polarization, spin texture, and

Deep Convolutional Neural Network With Attention Module for Seismic Impedance Inversion

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing, 2023
Seismic inversion is an approach to obtain the physical properties of the Earth layers from the seismic data, which aids in reservoir characterization. In seismic inversion, spatially variable physical parameters, such as impedance ($Z$), wave velocities

Irradiation‐Induced Spin Bath Evolution and as‐Grown Hydrogen Defects in CVD Diamond Revealed by NV‐Based DEER Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Here, we provide the reader with the current state of the art in the fabrication of high‐T2‐coherence diamond, optimized through the use of double electron–electron resonance (DEER) spectroscopy. We reveal the main as well as yet unidentified spin defects, the reduction of which is essential for reducing the spin bath and fabricating materials for ...

Applying satellite observations to improve bottom-up national emission inventories for methane: application to Colombia [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics
Countries report inventories of methane emissions under the Paris Agreement to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), but these estimates can have large uncertainties in activity data and emission factors.

Three‐Dimensional Anomalous Hall Sensing Enabled By Spin–Orbit Torque Driven Domain Reconfiguration In Chiral Multilayers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A three‐dimensional magnetic field sensor is realized in chiral W/CoFeB/MgO multilayers, where spin–orbit torques reversibly reconfigure homochiral stripe domains. The symmetry of the torque enables offset‐free in‐plane sensing, while the reproducible domain reconfiguration extends the linear out‐of‐plane range. An anomalous Hall readout delivers large‐

Constrained Adaptive Weighted Particle Swarm Optimization (C-AWPSO) Algorithm for Dipping Fault Parameter Inversion

open access: yesApplied Sciences
To overcome the limitations of gravity inversion methods in fault inversion, this paper proposed a constrained adaptive weighted particle swarm optimization algorithm.

On the inverse formula

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 2002
When an abelian variety has a principal polarization, it is self-dual. However, when the normalization is not principal, the problem of giving an explicit formula for the ``inversion'' (by which the author means taking the opposite with respect to the group law), on the Heisenberg group associated to the polarizing bundle, becomes subtle and important.

On An Inversion Formula For The Laplace Transformation [PDF]

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Mathematics, 1955
1. Introduction. The literature of the Laplace transformation contains many examples of inversion operators. Particular attention has been given in this literature to the so-called “real” inversion operators, that is, those operators which make use of values of the generating function arising only from real values of the independent variable.

Embedded Ferroelectric Nanoclusters Can Drive Polarization Reversal in a Non‐Ferroelectric Polar Film via the Proximity Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric nanoclusters create local internal fields in a normally non‐switchable polar film because of polarization mismatch at their interfaces. That field opposes polarization in the regions with larger polarization and reinforces polarization in the regions with smaller polarization.
