Invertibility conditions for exponential smoothing models [PDF]

open access: possible, 2003
In this article we discuss invertibility conditions for some state space models, including the models that underly simple exponential smoothing, Holt's linear method, Holt-Winters' additive method and damped trend versions of Holt's and Holt-Winters' methods.

Improving handovers: the inverted pyramid model

Postgraduate Medical Journal, 2010
Safe, efficient handovers are essential in the contemporary health service. During a 24 h inpatient stay, the care of a patient is transferred at least twice, between day and night teams. In shift based emergency departments, intensive and high dependency units, the number of handovers is increased.

Models with Invertible Infinitesimals

1991
We have seen in the Introduction that at least two different kinds of infinitesimals have appeared in the literature. On the one hand, there are the nilpotent, whose use in handling “infinitesimal” structures like jets, prolongations, connections, etc. has been extensively illustrated in the preceding two chapters.

A novel multilevel inverter model

2008 IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2008
This paper discuss on a novel multi-level inverter neutral point (MNP) without the diode-clamped which deduced from neutral point clamped (NPC) or multipoint clamped (MPC) topologies. One extremity of the phase branch is linked to different voltage levels of the dc bank capacitor supply by one and only one power switch.

Mathematical model of photovoltaic inverters

2019 11th Electrical Engineering Faculty Conference (BulEF), 2019
This paper presents a mathematical multi-linear regression model of inverter in photovoltaic (PV) power plant. The model is based on the inverter efficiency and uses the input dc voltage and input dc power of the PV inverter as independent variables which could be calculated from the solar insolation and ambient temperature.

Probabilistic Modelling of Nanoscale Inverters

Information Computing and Automation, 2008
of the neural network and a series of required input-output pairs are used for training the network. A. Datta et a1 [6] presented an analysis model to estimated yield for a pipelined design, which is based on the delay distributions of individual pipestages.

Photovoltaic Inverter Model in Simulink

2021
This chapter introduces the modeling of the power inverter of the photovoltaic system. The modeling step considered the first step of the control, where a detailed Simulink model has been introduced. Mainly, the control point is summarized as the tuning of the PI controller, where the Simulink introduces many types of the PI controller.

Bi-axial inverted pendulum modelling

Proceedings of the 14th International Carpathian Control Conference (ICCC), 2013
The paper presents first approach to modeling of the biaxial inverted pendulum. This model was determined mathematically using the Lagrange equations based on knowledge of the potential and kinetic energy of the cart and placed on the pendulum. It also presents a non-linear model of a biaxial inverted pendulum built in Matlabs SimMechanics toolbox ...

An Inverting Basket Model for AE1 Transport

Journal of Theoretical Biology, 2002
We describe an "inverting basket" model for transport in the erythrocyte anion exchanger, AE1. The inverting basket is formed by the side chains of three putative key residues, two positively (Lys 826 and Arg 730) and one negatively (Glu 681) charged residue.
