Static invertors for A.C. power supplies

Electronics and Power, 1975
Static invertors are increasingly attracting interest as a reliable and economic means of providing a.c. supplies both in industry and for aircraft and marine applications. This article reviews the present status of static invertors and discusses the economic considerations involved in their ...

New 3-phase invertor with three thyristors

Proceedings of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1971
A 3-phase invertor with three thyristors is described, superior in performance to its conventional counterpart. It is suitable for various types of load, including induction motors, in which a special winding permits further simplification of the circuit.

Analytical methods for invertor-fed induction motors

Proceedings of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1975
Invertor voltage waveforms for variable-frequency inductionmotor drives are frequently of a discontinuous form. One approach to steady-state analysis is to approximate periodic waveforms by a truncated Fourier series. As a less restrictive alternative, suitable for those commonly occurring cases where the piece-wise continuous sections can be described

Sinewave thyristor parallel invertor with improved commutation

Proceedings of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1966
The method of commutation is of fundamental importance in an invertor, and good commutation makes for successful operation of the circuit. This paper describes an improved method of commutation for the parallel-type invertor, using two separate capacitors to store energy instead of one as in the conventional circuit.

[Invertors--intracellular regulators of plasma membrane function].

Fiziolohichnyi zhurnal (Kiev, Ukraine : 1994), 1999
It has been found that the activation of protein biosynthesis in various cells (hepatocytes, adrenocorticocytes, thyrocytes and myocardiocytes), caused by different factors such as multiple hormones, regeneration, hyperfunction etc., leads to the development of plasmatic membrane hyperpolarization.
