The Oil Condition Analysis of Involute Spur Gear

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012
A gear microscopic surface pitting lubrication model was established, and the oil condition of it was introduced. Based on the multi-grid method, a numerical solution of spur gear oil condition lubrication was obtained. The result show that with the provided oil film thickness increases, the film thickness of the meshing point also increases.

Parametric analysis of asymmetric involute spur gear tooth

International Journal of Powertrains, 2019
The focus of this work is a geometric parameter of an asymmetric involute spur gear tooth. Gear strength is influenced by tooth geometry. So, knowledge of tooth geometric is required which will help to improve the strength of a gear tooth. In this article, a data generated from an equations and presented in form of graph for better interpretation of ...

The Efficiency of Involute Spur Gears

Journal of Mechanical Design, 1981
Approximate equations produced by Trachman |15| are used to predict the coefficient of sliding friction between the gear teeth. These equations apply when the lubrication regime is elastohydrodynamic; this is true during many gear contacts. The equations, which require only certain basic characteristics of the lubricant and the gears, are relatively ...

The Torsional Stiffness of Involute Spur Planetary Gears

2015
This paper presents the results of torsional stiffness analysis of involute spur planetary gears in mesh using finite element methods. A planetary gear model with 3 planet gears and its subsystem models have been developed to study the relationship between the overall torsional stiffness and the subsystem torsional stiffness.

The Geometry of Involute Spur Gears

2020
In this chapter, the fundamentals of involute spur gears geometry are given. Once the way of generating an involute of base circle has been described, the polar coordinates of any of its current points are given. The parametric equations that describe the position vector as a function of both the involute roll angle and the involute polar angle are ...

Characteristic of involute slope modification of asymmetric spur gear

Journal of Central South University, 2015
The meshing characteristic of asymmetric involute spur gear was studied, the equations of the geometric shape of the asymmetric gear for both sides were deduced, and the equations of contact ratio and the key points of contact were also obtained. Meanwhile, an involute slope modification method considering the effects of static transmission errors was ...

Design and Construction of Involute Spur Gear

International Journal on Science and Technology
Design and development of involute spur gears are played a vital role in mechanical engineering, especially for use in car transmissions. The current work involves the design and development of a spur gear for a 110-cc engine used in two-wheelers. The design process includes the calculation of important parameters like module, number of teeth, pressure

Interference analysis of internal involute spur gear pair

2022
In this paper, we have considered tip interference and radial interference of internal involute spur gears. Equations of tooth profiles are provided and operating constraints for internal gears are defined. The undercutting and interference of the teeth profiles are the main problems for the practical application of internal gears in planetary gear ...
