INVOLUTIONAL PTOSIS [PDF]

open access: yesAustralian and New Zealand Journal of Ophthalmology, 1986
AbstractInvolutional ptosis was corrected by either an anterior or posterior approach in 105 eyelids The posterior approach was preferred unless there was a specific indication for the anterior approach which included excess skin and bulky eyelids At operation approximately 10% of cases were found to have fatty degenerative changes in the anterior part

∇-prime rings and their commutativity

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science, 2023
Consider a ring with an (anti)-automorphism ∇ of finite order. The fundamental aim of this manuscript is to introduce the notions of ∇-(semi)prime ideal and ∇-(semi)prime ring as a generalization of the notions of (semi)prime ideal, [Formula: see text ...

A Note on Soft Ideals and Soft Filters in Ternary Semigroups with Involution

open access: yesDiscussiones Mathematicae - General Algebra and Applications, 2020
The main purpose of this paper is to provide an effective content of theory of ternary semigroups with involution by applying soft set theory concepts. In this paper, we introduce some basic terms and definitions of different ideals in ternary semigroups

Global Transcriptional Profiling Reveals Distinct Functions of Thymic Stromal Subsets and Age-Related Changes during Thymic Involution

open access: yesCell Reports, 2014
Summary: Age-associated thymic involution results in diminished T cell output and function in aged individuals. However, molecular mediators contributing to the decline in thymic function during early thymic involution remain largely unknown.

Quaternion involutions and anti-involutions

open access: yesComputers & Mathematics with Applications, 2007
The authors recall the definition of Hamilton's algebra of real quaternions. They define an involution of an algebra, without mentioning the structure where the involution takes place, and remark that the formal definition of an involution is not easy to find. Then an anti-involution is defined. Some calculations are added.
