The evaluation of national accounting matrices with environmental accounts (NAMEA) as a methodology for carrying out a sustainability assessment of the Scottish food and drink sector [PDF]
This report introduces environmental input-output (IO) accounts for Scotland as an example of a NAMEA framework. It provides an introduction to the use of basic IO multiplier methodology, which can be applied to examine pollution/waste generation and/or ...

A Jordanian deformation of AdS space in type IIB supergravity
We consider a Jordanian deformation of the AdS_5xS^5 superstring action by taking a simple R-operator which satisfies the classical Yang-Baxter equation. The metric and NS-NS two-form are explicitly derived with a coordinate system.

Diagnosing the Atmosphere of Jupiter's Volcanic Moon Io Using Energetic Neutral Atoms (ENAs)
Abstract During a Juno spacecraft encounter with Jupiter's volcanic moon Io (30 December 2023), the Jupiter Energetic Particle Detector Instrument (JEDI) observed Energetic Neutral Atoms (ENAs) of >150 keV oxygen and sulfur (O + S) coming from Io's mostly nightside atmosphere. JEDI lines‐of‐sight approached closest to Io between 1.31 and 1.49 Io radii (

Electron Density in Io's Alfvén Wing Observed Via Radio Occultation With Juno
Abstract Juno performed close flybys of the innermost Galilean moon, Io, in December 2023 (I57) and February 2024 (I58). During these flybys, the radio link connecting the Juno spacecraft to Earth observing stations of NASA's Deep Space Network (DSN) propagated through the Alfvén wing, a magnetospheric feature in which plasma is produced between Io and

Structure and functioning of the acid–base system in the Baltic Sea [PDF]
The marine acid–base system is relatively well understood for oceanic waters. Its structure and functioning is less obvious for the coastal and shelf seas due to a number of regionally specific anomalies.

Spatially Variable Electron Beams in Io's Northern Alfvén Wing and Downstream Region
Abstract We report on 0.032–32 keV electron observations during two Juno flybys of Io on 30 December 2023 and 3 February 2024. The first explored Io's northern Alfvén wing, the second covering its downstream region, south of the plasma wake. Both had closest approach altitudes of ∼1,500 km.

Widespread Occurrence of Lava Lakes on Io Observed From Juno
Abstract We report recent observations of lava lakes within patera on Io made by the JIRAM (Jovian InfraRed Auroral Mapper) imager on board the Juno spacecraft, taken during close observations that occurred during the extended mission. At least 40 lava lakes have been identified from JIRAM observations.
