Global constraints on absolute neutrino masses and their ordering [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Within the standard three-neutrino framework, the absolute neutrino masses and their ordering (either normal, NO, or inverted, IO) are currently unknown.

Early evaluation of salt-stress tolerance of new released olive cultivars based on physiological and biomass allocation indicators

open access: yesJournal of Agriculture and Food Research
The evaluation of salt-tolerant olive tree genotypes released from breeding program has become intrinsic in order to develop sustainable agriculture in these regions. The current study aims to i) evaluate the tolerance of two new released olive cultivars

Electron Density in Io's Alfvén Wing Observed Via Radio Occultation With Juno

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 4, 28 February 2025.
Abstract Juno performed close flybys of the innermost Galilean moon, Io, in December 2023 (I57) and February 2024 (I58). During these flybys, the radio link connecting the Juno spacecraft to Earth observing stations of NASA's Deep Space Network (DSN) propagated through the Alfvén wing, a magnetospheric feature in which plasma is produced between Io and

Revealing Spatiotemporal Deformation Patterns Through Time-Dependent Clustering of GNSS Data in the Japanese Islands

open access: yesAlgorithms
Understanding the spatial and temporal structure of crustal deformation is essential for identifying tectonic blocks, assessing seismic hazard, and detecting precursory deformation associated with major megathrust earthquakes.

IOEASMA: an integrated clinical and educational pathway for managing asthma in children and adolescents

open access: yesItalian Journal of Pediatrics, 2017
Background Due to the lack of real life clinical and educational studies, “Io e l’Asma” Centre performed this implementation research (IR). Evaluate long-term effectiveness on bronchial asthma control of an integrated clinical and educational pathway for

Spatially Variable Electron Beams in Io's Northern Alfvén Wing and Downstream Region

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 4, 28 February 2025.
Abstract We report on 0.032–32 keV electron observations during two Juno flybys of Io on 30 December 2023 and 3 February 2024. The first explored Io's northern Alfvén wing, the second covering its downstream region, south of the plasma wake. Both had closest approach altitudes of ∼1,500 km.

Wild birds as environmental reservoirs of antimicrobial-resistant Salmonella: a global systematic review and meta-analysis

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology
BackgroundThe lack of consolidated global data on the prevalence and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) profiles of Salmonella in wild bird populations hinders our understanding of their epidemiological role as reservoirs and disseminators of resistant ...

Widespread Occurrence of Lava Lakes on Io Observed From Juno

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 130, Issue 2, February 2025.
Abstract We report recent observations of lava lakes within patera on Io made by the JIRAM (Jovian InfraRed Auroral Mapper) imager on board the Juno spacecraft, taken during close observations that occurred during the extended mission. At least 40 lava lakes have been identified from JIRAM observations.

Channelized Thermal Emission, Promethean‐Type Jets and Surface Changes on Io From Juno Stellar Reference Unit Imagery

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 130, Issue 2, February 2025.
Abstract During Juno's close flybys of Io in 2023 and 2024, its low‐light sensitive Stellar Reference Unit (SRU) was used to conduct a high‐resolution visible wavelength (450–1,100 nm) imaging campaign under Jupiter‐shine illumination. The SRU acquired Juno's highest resolution image of Io's surface (895–1,230 m/pixel) in December 2023 at a high ...

Compensatory growth and nitrite management in the Pacific white shrimp (Penaeus vannamei) cultured in biofloc system

open access: yesJournal of the World Aquaculture Society
Determining safe nitrite exposure limits for Penaeus vannamei in biofloc technology system (BFT) is crucial, as nitrite peaks frequently occur during BFT culture.
