Chemical chaos in novel iodate-driven oscillator-thiophenol-iodate-H2SO4 system

Proceedings / Indian Academy of Sciences, 1989
Chaotic oscillations in redox potential have been observed in thiophenol-KIO3-H2SO4 system in batch reactors. These occur in a concentration and temperature range. Bifurcation from a stable regime to a chaotic regime occurs in a straight way in the entire concentration and temperature range.

Iodation enzymatique de protéines

Journal of Labelled Compounds, 1965
AbstractAn iodination enzymatic method has been studied which makes possible the preparation of 125I or 131I labelled proteins.Iodide oxidation is catalyzed by horse‐radish peroxydase; H2O2 is furnished by another enzymatic system: glucose‐glucose oxydase. We have studied: The optimal enzymatic iodination conditions for various proteins with different

Polymorphism of lithium iodate

Materials Research Bulletin, 1971
Thermal behaviours of α- and β-LiIO3 were studied by DTA and high temperature X-ray diffraction and a new phase was found between α- and β-LiIO3. Under normal pressure, the α-phase transforms into this new phase at about 247°C associated with an endothermic reaction, followed by an exothermic transformation to the β-phase at about 285°C.

Coprecipitation of Rare Earth Iodates with Thorium Iodate Precipitated from Homogeneous Solution

Analytical Chemistry, 1956
The separation of thorium from rare earths by precipitation of thorium iodate from homogeneous solution is evaluated. The extent of coprecipitation is given when thorium is precipitated in the presence of the rare earths lanthanum, praseodymium, promethium, and europium, and the related elements, yttrium and scandium.
