A Se‐mediated Co dual‐atom catalyst replaces sluggish oxygen evolution with efficient iodide oxidation in zinc‐air/iodide hybrid batteries. Se‐induced d‐p orbital hybridization optimizes adsorption, enabling a low 0.365 V voltage gap and superior durability, fundamentally overcoming conventional kinetic bottlenecks.

Planned harvesting and processing of marine macroalgae could meet future global food needs and mitigate fuel‐originated carbon dioxide responsible for climate change. Microalgal foods are nutritious and safe. The utilization of macroalgae would avoid environmental problems arising from the release of overgrowing macroalgae caused by heatwaves, which ...

Main‐chain polyfullerenes: Taking fullerene to the next dimension
This short review appraises main‐chain polyfullerenes. Their slow development over 30 years has suddenly boomed with a rapid growth due to exciting developments in solar energy. Abstract This mini‐review gives an overview of the development, chemistry, properties and applications of main‐chain polyfullerenes.

Investigation of preparative possibilities of iodinating systems on the basis of N-iodoacetamide [PDF]
N-iodoacetamide in organic solvents with H2SО4 iodinates successfully alkylbenzenes, aromatic amines and phenol ether. Electrophilic iodine activity is controlled by medium acidity.

Second-harmonic-generation of [(Se,Te)Cl$_{3}$]$^{+}$ [GaCl$_{4}$]$^{–}$ with aligned ionic tetrahedra [PDF]
[SeCl$_{3}$][GaCl$_{4}$] (1) and [TeCl$_{3}$][GaCl$_{4}$] (2) are prepared via Lewis-acid–base reaction of SeCl$_{4}$ or TeCl$_{4}$ with GaCl$_{3}$ at 50 °C (1) and 140 °C (2) in quantitative yield.

ABSTRACT Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a known risk factor for hypercalcemia in cats. Phosphate‐restricted diets have also been implicated in causing hypercalcemia, in part because phosphate restriction increases the Ca:P ratio. The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of two different therapeutic renal foods on ionized (iCa ...
