Bufotenidinium iodide [PDF]

open access: yesIUCrData, 2021
The title compound, 5-hydroxy-N,N,N-trimethyltryptammonium (5-HTQ) iodide {systematic name: [2-(5-hydroxy-1H-indol-3-yl)ethyl]trimethylazanium iodide}, C13H19N2O+·I−, has a single tryptammonium cation and one iodide anion in the asymmetric unit. The ions are held together by N—H...I and O—H...I hydrogen bonds in infinite chains along [100].

Systems silver iodide-sodium iodide and silver iodide-potassium iodide

open access: yesJournal of Research of the National Bureau of Standards Section A: Physics and Chemistry, 1960
The phase relations for the systems AgI-NaI and AgI-KI have been determined for the temperature range from room temperature to 685° C, using differential thermal analysis techniques. The AgI-NaI system has a eutectic at 50 mole percent NaI and 384° C. The AgI-KI system has eutectics at 20.8 and 28.5 mole percent KI and 254° C and 244° C, respectively ...

4-Cyanoanilinium iodide [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E Structure Reports Online, 2012
In the title compound, C(7)H(7)N(2) (+)·I(-), the cation is located on a site of 4mm symmetry and is thus disordered about the fourfold axis so that there are two perpendicular orientations of the six-membered ring and four rotational orientations of the {-NH(3) (+)} group.

2-Cyanoanilinium iodide [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E Structure Reports Online, 2013
The solid-state structure of the title salt, C7H7N2 (+.)I(-), consists of cation-anion sheets lying parallel to (110), with the components linked by N-H⋯I hydrogen bonds.

4-Acetylpyridinium iodide [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E Structure Reports Online, 2010
In the title compound, C(7)H(8)NO(+)·I(-), N-H⋯I hydrogen bonding and π-π stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 5.578 (4) Å] stabilize the structure.

2-Aminoethanaminium iodide [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E Structure Reports Online, 2012
The title salt, [NH3CH2CH2NH2]+·I−, has an array structure based on strong intermolecular N—H...N hydrogen bonding formed between the ammonium and amine groups of adjacent cations. This interaction gives a helical chain of cations that runs parallel to the b axis.

Melaminium iodide monohydrate [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E Structure Reports Online, 2010
In the title melaminium salt, 2,4,6-triamino-1,3,5-triazin-1-ium iodide monohydrate, C(3)H(7)N(6) (+)·I(-)·H(2)O, the components are linked via N-H⋯O, N-H⋯N, O-H⋯I and N-H⋯I hydrogen bonds. All of the H atoms of the melaminium cation are involved in hydrogen bonds. The melaminium cations are inter-connected by four N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming ribbons

Iodide-Induced Thyrotoxicosis

open access: yesMedicine, 1983
Iodide-induced thyrotoxicosis (IIT) occurs in patients with: 1) endemic goiter; 2) nonendemic goiter; 3) no previous thyroid disease. Iodine prophylaxis for endemic goiter caused transient increase of 0.01-0.04% over the basal incidence of hyperthyroidism peaking at 1-3 years and normalizing in 3-10 years despite continued iodide exposure.

7-Aminoheptylazanium iodide [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E Structure Reports Online, 2011
The absolute structure of the title compound, [H(3)N-(CH(2))(7)-NH(2)]I, has been determined from the diffraction experiment, the Flack parameter refining to −0.02 (2). In the crystal, adjacent symmetry-related cations are connected by head-to-tail R′H(2)N(+)—H⋯NH(2) R hydrogen bonds, forming chains along [010].
