The importance of wild meat and freshwater fish for children's nutritional intake in the Congo Basin

open access: yesPeople and Nature, EarlyView.
Abstract Wild meat and freshwater fish are widely consumed in the Congo Basin, but in some areas, they are at risk of disappearing due to unsustainable hunting and fishing and changes in their habitat. Wild meat is also at risk of being eliminated from local diets due to potential policy changes such as wild meat bans.

Sample Preparation for Multi‐Omics Analysis: Considerations and Guidance for Identifying the Ideal Workflow

open access: yesPROTEOMICS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Advances in methodologies and technologies over the past decade have led to an unprecedented depth of analysis of a cell's biomolecules, with entire genomes able to be sequenced in hours and up to 10,000 transcripts or ORF products (proteins) able to be quantified from a single cell.

Design and Development of Conjugated Fluorene–Triazine Microporous Networks: Synthesis, Property Optimization, and Application Prospects

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study presents a systematic investigation into the synthesis, characterization, and potential applications of conjugated microporous materials (CMPs) constructed from fluorene‐based monomers and covalent triazine linkages. By employing 9,9‐diethyl‐2,7‐dicyanofluorene and 9,9,9′,9′‐tetraethyl‐7,7′‐dinitrile‐2,2′‐bifluorene as key building ...

A Critical Review of Limitations and Challenges in Advancement of HNF as a Green Oxidizer for Composite Solid Propellant Formulations

open access: yesPropellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hydrazinium nitroformate (HNF) is a chlorine‐free, high‐energy oxidizer with promising applications in green propulsion systems. This review examines the thermal decomposition, combustion kinetics, flame structure, and behavior of HNF, while critically evaluating the current body of literature.

Triphenylamine‐Based Porous Organic Polymers with High Porosity: their High Carbon‐Dioxide Adsorption and Proton‐Conductivity Emergence

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
The porosity of polytriphenylamine, a typical amorphous porous organic polymer (POPs), is maximized via an iodine‐based chemical polymerization. The resulting amorphous POPs exhibited significant water–vapor adsorption with increasing specific surface area, leading to the emergence of proton conductivity.

Lead Halide Perovskites Nanocrystals Synthesized in a Green, Reusable Solvent

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Limonene has been employed as a green and reusable solvent for the synthesis of colloidal nanocrystals. This solvent can be recovered after the synthesis and reused. The environmental impact of the solvent has been estimated through a life cycle assessment.
