Iodo-alkynyl- and iodo-butadiynyl-ruthenium complexes
Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 2008Abstract Addition of [I(py)2]BF4 to Ru(C CH)(dppe)Cp∗ gave the iodovinylidene [Ru( C CHI)(dppe)Cp∗]BF4 1, which could be deprotonated to Ru(C CI)(dppe)Cp∗ 2. The attempted preparation of Ru(C CC CI)(dppe)Cp∗, followed by derivatisation with tcne, gave the dienynyl Ru{C CC[ C(CN)2]CI C(CN)2}(dppe)Cp∗ 3.

Biological distribution of iodo-allyl gabapentin and iodo-gabapentin
Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry, 2007Gabapentin (GBP) is an anticonvulsant and is widely used in the treatment of epilepsy. In this study, GBP and an allyl derivative of GBP were radioiodinated with 131I using the iodogen method; then their radiopharmaceutical potential in rats and rabbits was investigated.

The synthesis of 131I-5-iodo-2-thiouracil with iodo-genTM
The International Journal of Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 1980Abstract The synthesis of 131 I-5-iodo-2-thiouracils by electrophilic iodination or by an electrophilic isotopic exchange using chloramine-T and Iodo-gen TM has been investigated. Because of the sensitivity of the thiouracils for oxidation, Iodo-gen TM was used preferentially for the generation of the electrophilic 131 I-species.

Iodo(phthalocyaninato)chromium(III)
Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 2001A new chromium(III)-phthalocyanine complex with the formula [Cr(C(32)H(16)N(8))I], or CrPcI where Pc is phthalocyanate(2-), has been obtained by the reaction of pure Cr powder with phthalonitrile under a stream of iodine vapour. The five-coordinate Cr atom is bonded to the four isoindole N atoms of the phthalocyaninate(2-) ligand and to one apical ...

Ab initio calculations have been performed on a series of complexes formed between iodo-perfluorocarbons(PFCs) and iodo-hydrocarbons(HCs) and haloid anions to gain a deeper insight into the nature of halogen bonds. It appears that halogen bonds in these complexes are much stronger than neutral halogen bonds. Calculations also show that the strength of

Nickel Catalyzed Iodo-Dechlorination and Iodo-Debromination of sp 2 -Halides
1999“Contrathermodynamic” conversion of allylic, propargylic and other reactive chlorides or bromides into the corresponding iodides is readily achieved by heating with an alkali iodide in a suitable organic solvent. These reactions, which take place in the absence of any catalyst, proceed to completion thanks to the slight solubility of the alkali ...

The British Journal of Radiology, 1928
In the March number of the British Journal of Radiology, there is an article by Dr. Dyas, D.M.R.E., on a case of “death coincident with the oral administration of sodium tetra-iodo-phenolphthalein.” The man, aged 62, had a very large liver and slight jaundice.
