Secondary interactions in 1-iodo-3-nitrobenzene and 1-iodo-3,5-dinitrobenzene

Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 2003
The crystal packing of 1-iodo-3-nitrobenzene, C(6)H(4)INO(2), is formed by planar molecules which are linked by I...I and NO(2)...NO(2) interactions. In the case of 1-iodo-3,5-dinitrobenzene, C(6)H(3)IN(2)O(4), the NO(2) groups are not exactly coplanar with the benzene ring and the molecules form sheets linked by NO(2)...NO(2) interactions. In contrast

Lung water measurements with Iodo-antipyrine

European Journal of Nuclear Medicine, 1988
131I labeled iodo-antipyrine and 99mTc labeled erythrocytes were used to measure water content in lungs. These radioactive tracers were injected into 10 rabbits with normal lungs and 11 rabbits with injured lungs. Blood samples were drawn and the subjects were killed. The lungs were removed, weighed and homogenized. Samples of blood and lung homogenate

Copper coupling of 1-chloro-2-iodo- and 1,2-di-iodo-perfluorocycloalkenes

Journal of Fluorine Chemistry, 1973
Abstract Reductive coupling of 1-chloro-2-iodoperfluorocyclobutene (I), cyclopentene (III) and cyclohexene (VI) has been carried out with copper powder and a trace amount of dimethylformamide to give the corresponding 2,2′-dichloroperfluoro-(bi-1-cycloalken-1-yl) derivatives in 69%, 36% and 73% yield, respectively.

Radical cyclizatations of α-fluoro-α-iodo and α-iodo esters and amides.

Tetrahedron Letters, 1990
Abstract The free radical cyclization of various unsaturated α-fluoro-α-iodo and α-iodo esters and amides is described. Unusual 12-membered dilactones and 18-membered trilactones were obtained under the standard atom transfer cyclization reaction conditions.

First metallation of iodo diazines. Iodo and nitrogen directed metallations. Diazines XXII

Tetrahedron, 1998
Abstract Lithiation of iodopyrazine and 4-iodo-2-methylthiopyrimidine followed by reaction with various electrophiles was successfully achieved and was used to synthesize new pyrazine and pyrimidine derivatives. Iodo and nitrogen directed metallations were observed.
