PREPARATION AND PHYSICOCHEMICAL CHARACTERIZATION OF SOME POLYELECTROLYTE-DICLOFENAC COMPLEXES

open access: yesVitae, 2011
The acid-base interaction between a polyelectrolyte and an ionisable drug could lead to the formation ionic complexes. The resulting physicochemical properties of such nanostructures could reflect changes in solubility, stability and drug-release pattern.

Ionic self-diffusion coefficient and shear viscosity of high-Z materials in the hot dense regime

open access: yesMatter and Radiation at Extremes, 2021
High-Z materials exhibit a broad range of variation of the charge state in the hot dense regime, and so ionic structures become complex with increasing density and temperature owing to ionization. Taking high-Z uranium as example, we study its electronic

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Synthesis, Characterization, and Application of Hydrophobic Deep Eutectic Solvents Based on Dicarboxylic Acids for Amlodipine Microextraction [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering
In this study, a new hydrophobic deep eutectic solvent was synthesized using dicarboxylic acid (adipic acid, tartaric acid, and itaconic acid) as a hydrogen bond donor and glycerol as a hydrogen bond acceptor in a molar ratio 1:2.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
