Capillary ion chromatography

Journal of Separation Science, 2004
AbstractThis review summarizes progress in capillary ion chromatography. Theoretical aspects and practical limitations of packed and open tubular capillary columns are considered. Applications of packed and open tubular capillary IC are described. Emerging technologies such chip‐scale IC and the use of monolithic columns are discussed.

Ion-exchange chromatography

Analytical Chemistry, 1964
Ion-exchange chromatography is a versatile method of separation and concentration which is applicable to many kinds of analysis, inorganic, organic, and biochemical. The experimental technique is simple and in most cases fairly rapid. In the great majority of inorganic applications, all that is needed is a tube about 25 cm long and 1 cm i.d ...

Ion Pairing Chromatography

Critical Reviews in Analytical Chemistry, 2008
The present state of ion-pair chromatography (IPC) is reviewed. Emphasis is placed on the theoretical modeling of the retention behavior of charged, zwitterionic, and neutral solutes, since the theory provides the generally good understanding of the factors affecting the separation.

Ion-exchange chromatography

Analytica Chimica Acta, 1967
Abstract A review is given of variables which affect the separation factors in ion-exchange chromatography. In favorable cases the influence of complex formation, pH, and eluant concentration can be predicted by simple calculations, whereas the interaction forces inside the resin phase are still largely unexplored.

Ion Chromatography

1986
Abstract Ion chromatography (IC) is an analytical technique that uses columns packed with ion exchange resins to separate ions in aqueous solutions and dynamically elute them to a detector. This article provides information on the different modes of detection, namely, eluent-suppressed conductivity detection, single-column ion ...
