Ion-exchange hollow fibers [PDF]

open access: yes, 1976
An ion-exchange hollow fiber is prepared by introducing into the wall of the fiber polymerizable liquid monomers, and polymerizing the monomers therein to form solid, insoluble, crosslinked, ion-exchange resin particles which embed in the wall of the ...

Fibrates Inhibit PLTP‐induced M2 Macrophage Infiltration and Increase the Sensitivity of Hepatocellular Carcinoma to ICIs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phospholipid transfer protein(PLTP) plays a critical role in forming a complex with kinase A (AURKA) and P65. This interaction facilitates phosphorylation of P65 at Ser536, leading to the activation of the NF‐κB signaling pathway. Ultimately, this leads to the upregulation of downstream cytokines, including IL‐6, IL‐8, and CSF‐1, which promotes M2 ...

A Testis‐Specific Aralkylamine N‐Acetyltransferase Regulates Dimorphic Sperm Function and Male Fertility in Moths

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We identify a Lepidoptera‐conserved testis‐specific arylalkylamine N‐acetyltransferase (LTNAT) that governs male moth fertility via a novel mechanism. LTNAT loss disrupts eupyrene sperm mitochondrial derivatives and impairs apyrene sperm motility, offering a safe molecular target for innovative pesticides and genetic pest control.

Single‐Cell Transcriptomics Reveals FLS2‐Dependent Hypoxia Signaling and ERF13‐Mediated Transcription During flg22‐Triggered Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study employs sc‐RNA sequencing, genetics, and phenotyping to systematically map the cell‐type‐specific immune responses triggered by flg22. It reveals FLS2‐dependent transcriptional reprogramming in epidermal and mesophyll cells, and uncovers crosstalk between immune and hypoxia signaling pathways.

Pollutant removal from industrial discharge water using individual and combined effects of adsorption and ion-exchange processes: Chemical abatement

open access: yesJournal of Saudi Chemical Society, 2016
In this study, adsorption-oriented processes for pollutant removal from metal polycontaminated surface-finishing discharge water were applied individually as well as in combination with ion-exchange treatment to remove the remaining metal ions and ...
