Structural Characterisation of Dimeric Esters in α-Pinene Secondary Organic Aerosol Using N2 and CO2 Ion Mobility Mass Spectrometry

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2020
The atmospheric oxidation of monoterpenes leads to the formation of secondary organic aerosol (SOA). While numerous works have been carried out in the past to characterise SOA at a molecular level, the structural elucidation of SOA compounds remains ...

Orthogonal extraction ion mobility spectrometry [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry, 2006
Ion Mobility Spectrometry is a powerful tool for the study of molecular conformations, separation of mass isomers, and analysis of complex mixtures and suppression of chemical background. The factors that limit the capabilities of the technique include its relatively low resolving power and duty cycle.

Study of Grain Boundary Characters under Intergranular Corrosion in Copper Conductor and Its Relationship with Paper Oil Insulation in Transformer

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2015
The properties of materials such as corrosion, creep resistance, and weld ability are relevant to special and random grain boundaries which belongs to the category of Grain Boundary Engineering (GBE).

Analytical separations for lipids in complex, nonpolar lipidomes using differential mobility spectrometry

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2019
Secretions from meibomian glands located within the eyelid (commonly known as meibum) are rich in nonpolar lipid classes incorporating very-long (22–30 carbons) and ultra-long (>30 carbons) acyl chains.

Recent Advances of Native Mass Spectrometry Techniques [PDF]

open access: yesZhipu Xuebao, 2022
Nearly all the life activities are regulated by the interactions of the protein with other biomolecules, including protein-protein interactions (PPIs) and protein-ligand interactions (PLIs), therefore understanding interaction and structural ...

High-Pressure Ion Mobility Spectrometry [PDF]

open access: yesAnalytical Chemistry, 2009
The effects of above-ambient pressure on ion mobility on resolving power, resolution, and ion current were investigated using a small, stand-alone ion mobility spectrometer (IMS). This work demonstrates the first example of ion mobility spectrometry at pressures above ambient.

Effects of nanometer alumina and humic acid on the retention and transport of hexavalent chromium in porous media

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety, 2021
Column experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of ion type, ion strength, humic acid (HA), and nanometer alumina (NA) particles on the transport of hexavalent chromium (HC) in saturated porous media.

Structural and Quantitative Analysis of Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFASs) and Para-Phenylenediamines (PPDs) by Direct Analysis in Real Time Ion Mobility Mass Spectrometry (DART-IM-MS)

open access: yesMolecules
Polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) and para-phenylenediamines (PPDs) are emerging classes of anthropogenic contaminants that are environmentally persistent (most often found in ground and surface water sources), bioaccumulative, and harmful to human ...

Insights of Hysteresis Behaviors in Perovskite Solar Cells from a Mixed Drift-Diffusion Model Coupled with Recombination

open access: yesPhotonics, 2020
Hysteresis in perovskite solar cells is a notorious issue limiting its development in stability, reproducibility and efficiency. Ions’ migration coupled with charges’ recombination are indispensable factors to generate the hysteretic curves on the basis ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
