Fourier Deconvolution Ion Mobility Spectrometry

Talanta, 2022
Multiplexing the ion packet injection with advanced signal processing is an effective method to improve both the ion throughput and signal-to-noise ratio for ion mobility spectrometry. Generally used multiplexing methods include Hadamard transform ion mobility spectrometry (HT-IMS), Fourier transform ion mobility spectrometry (FT-IMS), and correlation ...

Ion mobility–mass spectrometry

Journal of Mass Spectrometry, 2008
AbstractThis review article compares and contrasts various types of ion mobility–mass spectrometers available today and describes their advantages for application to a wide range of analytes. Ion mobility spectrometry (IMS), when coupled with mass spectrometry, offers value‐added data not possible from mass spectra alone. Separation of isomers, isobars,

Inverse Ion Mobility Spectrometry

Analytical Chemistry, 2009
A novel method is proposed for enhancing the separation power of ion mobility spectrometry (IMS) and other similar pulsed techniques, such as time-of-flight mass spectrometry. In this technique, rather than generating an ion packet, a dip is created in the ion beam. This is achieved by an inverse pulse applied to the shutter grid.
