A Biomimetic Botnet Detection Framework for IoT Devices

open access: yes, 2021
Botnets are a major concern for IoT devices deployed on a large scale. Botnets not only can discover new vulnerable devices but are also proficient in injecting malware into the target devices. The estimated traffic generated by such botnets is of the order of Tbps and the attacks cost billions of dollars to the global economy every year.

BOTNET Detection in IoT Environments

open access: yesInternational Research Journal of Computer Science
Botnet attacks have become a serious threat in modern IoT networks. As connected devices continue to grow, attackers find new ways to compromise them and use them for malicious activities. We channeled our efforts into building a dedicated digital sentinel capable of spotting dangerous botnet activity the moment it appears.
