BCube-IP: BCube with IP Address Hierarchy

BCube and DCell propose data transfer using source routing for data center networks (DCNs). One potential problem with their approach is the use of two different address spaces, one for identifying end hosts and another for routing. In this paper, we propose a variant of BCube called BCube-IP based on an IP address hierarchy.

On systems that have more than one network a dapter, the default behavior of the TNS Listener is to accept connections from any network. In Oracle 10g and subsequent releases IP=FIRST may be used to restrict incoming connections to the network in which the host configured in listener.ora resides.
