BCube-IP: BCube with IP Address Hierarchy
2014BCube and DCell propose data transfer using source routing for data center networks (DCNs). One potential problem with their approach is the use of two different address spaces, one for identifying end hosts and another for routing. In this paper, we propose a variant of BCube called BCube-IP based on an IP address hierarchy.

Hierarchical addressing in IP networks
Proceedings. 2005 International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems, 2005., 2005To present a solution to the problem of address space exhaustion in the Internet, this paper proposes a multi-tiered addressing architecture of the Internet (IPEA), illustrates the address space and addressing scheme of IPEA, defines the format of IP packet with extension address, and hierarchical routing algorithm.

Proceedings of the 2007 conference on Applications, technologies, architectures, and protocols for computer communications, 2007
This paper introduces a novel algorithm, UDmap , to identify dynamically assigned IP addresses and analyze their dynamics pattern. UDmap is fully automatic, and relies only on application-level server logs. We applied UDmap to a month-long Hotmail user-login trace and identified a significant number of dynamic IP ...

In vehicular Ad-hoc networks (VANETs), vehicles can gain short connections to the Internet by using wireless access points (AP). A significant part of the connection time is the time required for acquiring an IP address via dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP).

IP Address Distribution Mechanisms
2003Address distribution mechanisms falls more in the domain of administration and management of IP network, hence they were developed only when it be became apparent that manual configuration of a dynamic and growing network is impossible. The acute need for automated mechanism to handle handle a rapidly growing network gave rise to several different ...

TNS Listener IP Address Binding and IP=FIRST
2009On systems that have more than one network a dapter, the default behavior of the TNS Listener is to accept connections from any network. In Oracle 10g and subsequent releases IP=FIRST may be used to restrict incoming connections to the network in which the host configured in listener.ora resides.
