Identification of IPMSM Flux-Linkage Map for High-Accuracy Simulation of IPMSM Drives
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2021This article proposes a precise identification scheme of an interior permanent-magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) flux linkage through experimental tests considering motor nonlinearities, such as the magnetic saturation and spatial harmonics. In the proposed scheme, the flux linkage is identified based on the voltage equation of IPMSM.

Modified backstepping control of IPMSM: Experimental tests
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part I: Journal of Systems and Control Engineering, 2022The purpose of this paper is to propose a new control technique for an interior permanent magnet synchronous motor that has been designed using a modified integral backstepping controller. This architecture consists of a nonlinear backstepping control scheme to achieve the purpose of speed tracking.

Adaptive deadbeat current controller for IPMSM
2016 21st International Conference on Methods and Models in Automation and Robotics (MMAR), 2016This paper presents an idea of adaptive predictive current controller for IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine). It consists of introduction to predictive control techniques applied for current control, mathematical formulation of a control problem, simulation results and summary. Simulations consider also robustness of classic deadbeat

Embedded digital protection for IPMSM drives
2013 IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting, 2013This paper presents the development, real-time implementation, and experimental testing of a new embedded digital protection for three phase (3φ) interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) drives. The proposed digital protection is established through extracting the high frequency sub-band contents present in the d-q-axis components of the ...

Loss analysis of the IPMSM for HEV
Digests of the 2010 14th Biennial IEEE Conference on Electromagnetic Field Computation, 2010IPMSM has been often developed for HEV because it has a high power density and a wide range of operations. However, an armature reaction occurs from the high current and also the hysteresis loss from electrical steel of rotor and stator and the magnet is pretty high due to the high speed driving.

Observer for the rotor temperature of IPMSM
Proceedings of 14th International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference EPE-PEMC 2010, 2010In this paper an observer for the rotor temperature of an IPMSM, as commonly used in automotive applications, is presented. The observer is based on a flux observer utilizing the fact that the permanent magnet flux is temperature-dependent. Simulation and experimental results show good performance.

Adaptive flux-weakening controller for IPMSM drives
2011 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition, 2011Voltage feed-back flux-weakening (FW) control scheme for vector-controlled Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM) drive systems is considered in this paper. The voltage controller is based on the difference between the amplitude of the reference voltage space vector and a proper limit value, related to the feeding inverter limitations, and
