Integrating the Fermi Gamma-Ray Burst Monitor into the 3rd Interplanetary Network

open access: yes, 2009
We are integrating the Fermi Gamma-Ray Burst Monitor (GBM) into the Interplanetary Network (IPN) of Gamma-Ray Burst (GRB) detectors. With the GBM, the IPN will comprise 9 experiments. This will 1) assist the Fermi team in understanding and reducing their

Programmable Photothermal Hydrogel Actuators Enabled by Adhesion

open access: yesMacromolecular Chemistry and Physics, Volume 227, Issue 3, 16 February 2026.
We report a one‐step strategy for constructing photothermal hydrogel actuators by directly bonding conductive polymer films to thermoresponsive hydrogels through electrophoretic adhesion. This approach enables robust interfacial bonding, simplified fabrication, and precise control of bending direction and deformation modes under laser irradiation ...

Tailored GelMA‐Chitosan‐Polypyrrole‐ CNT Conductive Scaffold for Potential Application in Neural Tissue Regeneration

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 311, Issue 2, February 2026.
This study presents an optimal hydrogel that matches the physicochemical and biological properties of neural tissue. The presence of carbon nanotubes and polypyrrole in the GelMA‐chitosan matrix improved the biomechanical and bioelectric properties of the scaffold and increased the adhesion and viability of PC12 and SH‐SY5Y cells.

Highly Selective Photocatalytic Degradation of Organic Pollutants by ZnO@C Core–Shell Nanoparticles Via Superoxide Radical Pathway

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 8, 6 February 2026.
This study investigates a novel two‐step synthesis of ZnO@C nanoparticles (NPs), featuring enhanced photocatalytic dye degradation via selective superoxide (O2•−) radical generation under visible light. The precisely engineered carbon shell uniquely improves light–matter interaction and visible‐light absorption, as well as facilitates efficient charge ...

Effects of Increased Water Salinity and Temperature on the Development of Rainbow Trout Fry Syndrome (RTFS) Caused by Flavobacterium psychrophilum

open access: yesJournal of Fish Diseases, Volume 49, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Flavobacterium psychrophilum, the etiological agent of Rainbow Trout Fry Syndrome (RTFS) and Bacterial Coldwater Disease (BCWD), causes varying degrees of disease and mortality in salmonid aquaculture worldwide. Because its treatment relies on the use of antimicrobials, alternative interventions are of environmental and economic interest.
