Miscible simultaneous IPNs and Pseudo-IPNs

Polymer Gels and Networks, 1994
Abstract We present experimental data in support of the principal factors promoting enhanced miscibility of IPNs. These are the match of rates of the crosslinking reactions producing the IPNs, and minimizing the difference in the solubility parameter and glass transition temperature of the linear chain components.

IPN foams

Journal of Polymer Science: Polymer Symposia, 1985
AbstractSemirigid IPN foams were prepared by simultaneous polymerization (SIN technique) of urethane‐isocyanurate and epoxy resin systems. Significantly higher compressive strength was obtained with the IPN foams as compared to the corresponding urethane‐isocyanurate foams.

Semi-IPN- and IPN-Based Hydrogels

2018
Semi-interpenetrating polymer networks (semi-IPNs) and interpenetrating polymeric networks (IPNs) have emerged as innovative materials for biomedical and pharmaceutical applications. The interest in these structures is due to the possibility of combining the favorable properties of each polymeric component of the IPNs or semi-IPNs leading to a new ...

Polyurethane IPN membranes

Makromolekulare Chemie. Macromolecular Symposia, 1990
AbstractHydrophilic PU and hydrophobic PS IPN membranes were prepared and the effect of the synthesis pressure on the pervaporation characteristics of ethanol water mixture was evaluated. Cationic/anionic IPN membranes were prepared from the cationic PU and the anionic acrylic copolymer, and the effects of the composition and the ionic concentration on

Factors affecting the miscibility of simultaneous IPNs and pseudo-IPNs

Progress in Organic Coatings, 1996
We present experimental data in support of the principal factors promoting enhanced miscibility of interpenetrating polymer networks (IPNs). These are the match of rates of the crosslinking reactions producing the IPNs, and minimizing the difference in solubility parameter and glass transition temperature of the linear chain components.

Preparation and Damping Property of Polyurethane/vinyl Ester Resin IPNs and Gradient IPNs

2006 1st IEEE International Conference on Nano/Micro Engineered and Molecular Systems, 2006
A series of polyurethane/vinyl ester resin(PU/VER) simultaneous and gradient IPNs curing at room temperature are successfully synthesized by changing the component ratios of PU or VER in IPNs and casting the mixtures of different component ratios in a mold at various times.

Polyurethane IPN membranes

Makromolekulare Chemie. Macromolecular Symposia, 1991
AbstractHydrophilic/hydrophobic, cationic/anionic polyurethane membranes were prepared and the effect of the synthesis pressure and temperature on the morphology were evaluated. The pervaporation characteristics of the membranes for the separation of ethanol/water mixture as well as the gas separation performances in the separation of nitrogen/oxygen ...

A Comparative Study of the Explosion Characteristics of IPN and IPN/JP‐10 Mixtures in Air Aerosols

Propellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics, 2017
AbstractThis article presents a comparison of the explosion characteristics of mixtures of isopropyl nitrate (IPN, (CH3)2CHONO2) and JP‐10 (C10H16, tricycle [5.2.1.02,6] decane) in air aerosols. The explosion pressure, flame temperature, maximum rate of pressure rise, maximum rate of temperature rise, and lower flammability limits (LFLs) were measured ...
