Multiscale Interfacial Engineering Enables Robust Reconstituted Wood

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Conventional adhesives used in wood composites create heterogeneous interfaces that cause stress concentration under humid or aqueous conditions, thereby compromising long‐term stability. A synergistic strategy integrating interfacial reconstruction and water‐induced regeneration transforms heterogeneous interfaces into homogeneous ones with ...

Combined Immune‐Peptide Nanofiber with HSP70/AKT/mTOR Axis Blockade Enhances Photothermal Immunotherapy, Inhibiting Tumor Growth and Recurrence

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A carrier‐free peptide‐guided PSP@IR‐CF3 nanofiber system integrates PD‐L1 targeting and photothermal immunotherapy for enhanced cancer treatment. By revealing PTIT‐induced activation of the HSP70/AKT/mTOR pathway and incorporating mTOR inhibition, this strategy effectively overcomes therapeutic resistance and prevents tumor recurrence, providing a ...

A Novel Bioactive Component, Efoba, From Aged Garlic Targets CTSC to Suppress NET‐Driven Neuroinflammation and Ameliorate Secondary Brain Injury After Intracerebral Hemorrhage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Efoba, a novel bioactive component derived from aged garlic, confers neuroprotection against intracerebral hemorrhage. It acts on microglia to suppress CTSC release, inhibits NET‐mediated neural injury, and blocks pathological microglia‐neutrophil crosstalk. This study provides a highly promising lead compound for hemorrhagic‐stroke therapy.

Stabilizing Oxygen Redox via Li Dopants Into P2‐Type Cathodes for High‐Voltage Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Regulating anionic redox of layered cathodes provides the promises as performance promotor for sodium ion batteries. In this work, Li doping strategy has been developed to stabilize oxygen redox in the voltage window from 4.1 to 4.3 V. The underlying mechanism has been investigated through integrating a variety of characterizations.

Surface‐State‐Driven Selectivity of Electrocatalytic Glucose Oxidation: Metallic Au, Au─OH, and CuO

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In the electrochemical oxidation of glucose, whether the pyranose ring opens upon adsorption decides the reaction pathway: ring opening on metallic Au yields gluconic acid, gluconolactone formation on Au─OH leads to glucaric acid, and C─C cleavage on CuO gives formic acid. Surface state thus governs product selectivity.

Weak‑Solvation‑Mediated Localized High‑Concentration Electrolyte for Sodium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A weak‑solvation strategy using MTBE as a fluorine‑free diluent constructs a localized high‑concentration structure, promoting FSI− coordination and forming an inorganic‑rich SEI. This enables stable cycling with high‑loading cathodes and pouch cells, offering a sustainable, PFAS‑free electrolyte for sodium metal batteries.
