Studying the Possibility of Application ir Spectroscopy for Raw Material Identification Valeriana wolgensis Kazak. and Valeriana dudia L.

open access: yesРазработка и регистрация лекарственных средств, 2022
Introduction. Recently, IR spectroscopy has been increasingly used to identify various groups of biologically active substances (BAS) in plant objects. It is known that plants are capable of accumulating various BAS.

Creating Ti–Fe α/β Alloys by Diffusion‐Driven Solid‐State Processing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study proposes making alloys containing fast diffusing elements that are difficult to produce by ingot metallurgy, by diffusion‐driven solid‐state HIP processing of elemental powders and low‐temperature homogenisation. Here, novel Fe‐Ti α–β alloys are formed having fine α–β lamellae, a small β prior grain size without significant intermetallics ...

Synthesis and studies of bissydnone sulfonamides based on 4,4’-diaminodiphenyl methane

open access: yesOrbital: The Electronic Journal of Chemistry, 2010
3,3’-(4,4’-Diphenyl)bissydnonyl methane (5) was synthesized and subjected to chlorosulfonation followed by amination resulted in to formation of 3,3’-(methylenedi-1,4-phenylene)bis[4-{(4-substituted-amino)sulfonyl} sydnone (7a-j).

High‐Temperature Nanoindentation of Metals: Assessing Thermal Drift, Frame Compliance, and Chemical Composition Effects on the Reported Mechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Do not let thermal drift and instrument artifacts deceive high‐temperature nanoindentation results. We compare classical Oliver–Pharr and automatic image recognition analyses across steels and a Ni alloy to quantify these effects. Accounting for artifacts reveals systematic softening with temperature, while Cr and Ni additions boost resistance ...

Rigidified malononitrile- and ketone-merocyanines in rigid environments

open access: yesMacedonian Journal of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, 2015
Two merocyanine dyes containing a malononitrile or a ketone functional group as electron-acceptors, and a piperidine group as electron-donor were synthetized and crystallized as pigments.

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Search for new apatite-like phases for lead utilization based on crystal structure and thermal expansion [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society
Apatites, being one of the most numerous mineral-like families of compounds, are considered as a matrix for binding lead ions, which is dangerous for the biosphere.

Structure and Stability of Gas Adsorption Complexes in Periodic Porous Solids as Studied by VTIR Spectroscopy: An Overview

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
Variable-temperature infrared (VTIR) spectroscopy is an instrumental technique that enables structural characterization of gas-solid adsorption complexes by analysis of meaningful vibrational modes, and simultaneous determination of the standard enthalpy

Microstructure, Thermal Transport, and Dry‐Sliding Tribology of Powder‐Metallurgy Al7075 Composites Reinforced With Sol–Gel‐Derived ZnO–rGO Hybrid Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Sol–gel‐derived ZnO–rGO hybrid nanoparticles enable Al7075 powder‐metallurgy composites to achieve concurrent gains in hardness and thermal conductivity while markedly lowering friction and wear. The hybrid architecture couples ZnO‐based load support with rGO‐assisted lamellar sliding and heat spreading, revealing a promising route toward lightweight ...
