Two stage reorganization of bone apatite during heating [PDF]

open access: yesМинералогия
Bone tissue is a natural composite material consisting of organic components (collagen and calcium citrate) and a mineral phase (bone apatite). Infrared spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction are used to study structural changes in the mineral phase of the ...

Superlubricity and Corrosion Inhibition Properties of Solvate Ionic Liquids in Hybrid Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic–Steel Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Solvate ionic liquids lubrication reduced the coefficient of friction by ∼60% compared to dry sliding, reaching steady‐state values as low as 0.04–0.05. Corrosion weight‐loss measurements in 1 M HCl further demonstrated significant inhibition behavior, with only 100 ppm of [Li(G3)][TFSI] (∼68.5 μL/L) reducing corrosion‐product weight loss by 63 ...

Enhancing the Responsivity of Uncooled Infrared Detectors Using Plasmonics for High-Performance Infrared Spectroscopy

open access: yesSensors, 2017
A lead zirconate titanate (PZT;Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3) layer embedded infrared (IR) detector decorated with wavelength-selective plasmonic crystals has been investigated for high-performance non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) spectroscopy.

IR spectroscopy of gas-phase C60− [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2008
We present the IR spectrum of the gas-phase C60(-) anion. The C60(-) anions are mass-selected and trapped in an ion cyclotron mass spectrometer cell. The spectrum is obtained by recording the yield of electrons following infrared multiple photon absorption and subsequent electron detachment of the anions. Two bands are observed that correlate to two of

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Near-IR spectroscopy of OH/IR stars in the Galactic centre [PDF]

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics, 2006
Context. Galactic Centre (GC) OH/IR stars can be, based on the expansion velocities of their circumstellar shells, divided into two groups which are kinematically different and therefore are believed to have evolved from different stellar populations. Aims.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

QUARTZ FROM HYDROTHERMAL VEINS OF THE ARKAIM AREA, SOUTH URALS: DATA ON VIBRATIONAL SPECTROSCOPY, GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY, AND FLUID INCLUSIONS [PDF]

open access: yesМинералогия, 2015
Quartz veins from the Arkaim area, South Urals, belong to two volcanogenic-hydrothermal systems: Middle Devonian (gold-sulfide-quartz zones and hematite-quartz edifice) and Early Carboniferous (sulfide-quartz veins in trachybasalts, trachyrhyolites, and ...

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron
