Mesoporous Metallic Iridium Nanosheets.

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2018
Two-dimensional (2D) metals are an emerging class of nanostructures that have attracted enormous research interest due to their unusual electronic and thermal transport properties. Adding mesopores in the plane of ultrathin 2D metals is the next big step

Optimization of Active Sites via Crystal Phase, Composition and Morphology for Efficient Low-Iridium Oxygen Evolution Catalysts.

Angewandte Chemie, 2020
Reducing the amount of iridium in oxygen evolution electrocatalysts without compromising their catalytic performances is one of the major requirements in proton exchange membrane water electrolyzers.

Superconductivity of Iridium

Physical Review Letters, 1962
Very pure Ir is found to be superconducting. The critical field varies from 16 gauss at 0.04 deg K to 0 gauss at 0.14 deg K. In the purification process, special care is taken to remove as much Fe as possible. (T.F.H.)

An Iridium (III) Complex Bearing a Donor–Acceptor–Donor Type Ligand for NIR‐Triggered Dual Phototherapy

Advanced Functional Materials, 2020
Iridium(III) complexes are an important group of photosensitizers for photodynamic therapy (PDT). This work constructs a donor–acceptor–donor structure‐based iridium(III) complex (IrDAD) with high reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation efficiency ...

An iridium-193 and gold-197 Mössbauer investigation of iridium(I), iridium(III) and iridium(I)/gold(I) complexes

Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 1991
Abstract Comparison of the 193 Ir and 197 Au Mossbauer spectra of the series trans -(Ph 3 P) 2 Ir(CO)X, trans,cis -(Ph 3 P) 2 (H) 2 Ir(CO)(X) (X = Cl or pz- N ; pzH = 3,5-dimethyl-, 3,5-dimethyl-4-nitro-, 3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)pyrazole) and trans -(Ph 3 P) 2 (CO)Ir[μ-(3,5-dimethylpyrazolato- N , N ′)]AuX′ (X′ = Cl, Br) shows that even the ...

Oxidation of iridium

Metallurgical transactions, 1974
Iridium wires self-reistance-heated to temperatures in the range of 1675 to 2260°C (1948 to 2533 K) were oxidized in naturally convected oxygen at pressures in the range of 0.00132 to 1.32 atmospheres (134 to 1.34× 105 Pa). The experimental results were closely corre-lated by a theoretical rate equation based upon control of the oxidation rates by ...

Experimental Activity Descriptors for Iridium-Based Catalysts for the Electrochemical Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER)

ACS Catalysis, 2019
Recent progress in the activity improvement of anode catalysts for acidic electrochemical water splitting is largely achieved through empirical studies of iridium-based bimetallic oxides.

A Series of monohapto pyrazolates of iridium(I) and iridium(III)

Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 1984
Abstract The reaction of trans -IrCl(CO)L 2 with pz − 1 gives trans -Ir(pz- N )(CO)L 2 , where pzH is 3,5-dimethyl-, 3,5-dimethyl-4-nitro- or 3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)-pyrazole, and L = PPh 3 . The nitrogen atom not involved in coordination can be protonated with HBF 4 to give the corresponding [Ir(CO)L 2 (pzH- N ] + cation.
