Iridoid glucosides from Avicennia germinans

Abstract A new iridoid glucoside, namely 2′-caffeoyl mussaenosidic acid has been isolated from leaves of Avicennia germinans along with the known compounds 2′-cinnamoyl mussaenosidic acid and verbascoside. The structure of the new compound was established by spectroscopic methods.

Iridoid and bis-iridoid glucosides from the fruit of Gardenia jasminoides

Three new iridoid glucosides, 6″-O-trans-feruloylgenipin gentiobioside (1), 2'-O-trans-caffeoylgardoside (2), jasmigeniposide A (3), and one new bis-iridoid glucoside, jasmigeniposide B (4), along with six known analogues (5-10), were isolated from the fruit of Gardenia jasminoides.

Iridoid and seco-iridoid glucosides from Chioccoca alba (Rubiaceae)

Phytochemical investigation of Chioccoca alba afforded three new iridoids, alboside I, alboside II and alboside III, and a new seco-iridoid alboside V. Alboside IV showed moderate activity towards the DNA repair-deficient mutant RS321 of Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

Iridoid glucosides fromViburnum sargenti

The phytochemical study of aerial parts of Viburnum sargenti Koehne, a species spontaneous in Mongolia and Northern China, led to the isolation of three iridoid glucosides of Valeriana-type: the novel 7,10,2'-triacetylsuspensolide F, 1, and the known viburtinoside IV and V. In addition, (+)-epicatechin was also isolated.
