Analysis of template aging in iris biometrics

2012 IEEE Computer Society Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Workshops, 2012
It has been widely believed that biometric template aging does not occur for iris biometrics. We compare the match score distribution for short time-lapse iris image pairs, with a mean of approximately one month between the enrollment image and the verification image, to the match score distributions for image pairs with one, two and three years of ...

TEC analysis of IRI simulated data

Advances in Space Research, 2002
The evaluation of the TEC from differential delay data requires proper programs, which have been set up at IROE to process measuremenets from Navy Navigation Satellite System and Global Positioning System. Problems inherent to this analysis are: phase ambiguities and unknown hardware delays, the mapping function used to estimate vertical TEC from the ...

On Generation and Analysis of Synthetic Iris Images

IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, 2007
The popularity of iris biometric has grown considerably over the past two to three years. It has resulted in the development of a large number of new iris encoding and processing algorithms. Since there are no publicly available large-scale and even medium-size data bases, neither of the newly designed algorithms has undergone extensive testing.

Personal identification based on iris texture analysis

IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, 2003
With an increasing emphasis on security, automated personal identification based on biometrics has been receiving extensive attention over the past decade. Iris recognition, as an emerging biometric recognition approach, is becoming a very active topic in both research and practical applications.

IRYS

Proceedings of the 5th international conference on Multimodal interfaces, 2003
IRYS is a tool for the replay and analysis of gaze and touch behavior during on-line activities. Essentially a "multimodal VCR", it can record and replay computer screen activity and overlay this video with a synchronized "spotlight" of the user's attention, as measured by an eye-tracking and/or touch-tracking system.

Specific Texture Analysis for Iris Recognition

2005
In this paper, we present a new method for iris recognition based on specific texture analysis. It relies on the use of Haar wavelet analysis to extract the texture of the iris tissue. The matching is done using a specific correlation based on local peaks detection.

Shape Analysis of Stroma for Iris Recognition

2007
In this paper, a new shape analysis approach for iris recognition is proposed. First, the extracted iris images from eye portrait are enhanced by image deblurring filter which computes restoration using FFT-based Tikhonov filter with the identity matrix as the regularization operator.

Multiscale analysis for iris biometrics

Proceedings. 36th Annual 2002 International Carnahan Conference on Security Technology, 2003
In this work, a new biometric identification approach based on the human iris pattern is proposed. The main idea of this technique is to represent features of the iris by multiscale analysis of the corresponding discrete dyadic wavelet transform zero-crossing representation. In this study we consider the iris signature as the mean of the gray values of

Karyotype Analysis of Bulbous Iris

Botanical Gazette, 1959
1. Karyotype analyses were made of species and garden varieties of bulbous irises, including I. winogradowii (2n = 16), I. histrioides var. Major (2n=16), I. histrioides (2n=17), I. reticulata var. Violet Beauty (2n=18), I. reticulata var. Clarette (2n=20), and I. danfordiae (3n=27). 2. I.
