Soliton induced critical current oscillations in two-band superconducting bridges

open access: yes, 2017
Using time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau theory we find oscillations of critical current density $j_c$ as a function of the length $L$ of the bridge formed from two-band superconductor. We explain this effect by appearance of the phase solitons in the bridge

Optimizing LPBF-parameters by Box-Behnken design for printing crack-free and dense high-boron alloyed stainless steel parts

open access: yesAdditive Manufacturing Letters
Boron has almost null solubility in iron, and its addition to stainless steels leads to the formation of hard borides, beneficial for increasing the wear resistance.
