Zinc-rich paint coatings containing either ionic surfactant-modified or functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotube-supported polypyrrole utilized to protect cold-rolled steel against corrosion [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The intense anodic action of sacrificial zinc pigments ensured viable galvanic function of the highly porous liquid zinc-rich paints (ZRPs) result in deteriorated long-term corrosion resistance often accompanied by cathodic delamination phenomena. In our

Flocculation studies on iron ore fines using synthetic polymeric flocculants

open access: yes, 1986
Califloc is an efficient flocculant for hematite ore fines. Addition of $CaCl_2$ improves settling rate and clarity significantly at alkaline pH; at acidic pH no addition of Ca is necessary to achieve flocculation. The sequence in which Ca and the flocculant are added is an important factor for the efficiency of flocculation.

Beneficiation of Synthetic Iron Ore Kaolinite Mixture Using Selective Flocculation

open access: yesJournal of Minerals and Materials Characterization and Engineering, 2010
High demand of steel necessitates the use of low and lean grade iron ores by beneficiating them. However the fines, slimes and tailings generated in the process of beneficiating these low grade iron ores contains good amount of iron values. These iron values can be recovered by further beneficiating the fines, slimes and tailing by selective ...
