Effects of Advanced Oxidation on Green Sand Properties via Iron Casting into Green Sand Molds
Environmental Science & Technology, 2006The effects of advanced oxidation (AO) processing on the properties of green sand were studied via pouring cast iron into green sand molds. Upon cooling, the green sand molds were autopsied at various distances from the metal-sand interface. Autopsy green sand samples collected from a mold that incorporated AO water were characterized and compared to ...

Study on Ferromagnetic Minerals in Iron Sands in Japan-Iron Sands from Wajiro and Atsumi Peninsula
The Journal of the Society of Chemical Industry, Japan,

Arsenic Removal from Groundwater by Iron Impregnated Sand
Journal of Environmental Engineering, 2003A granular media known as iron impregnated sand (IIS), developed in the laboratory by impregnating iron on a quartz sand surface by a simple and easy process has proved more effective than iron oxide coated sand (IOCS). Kinetic and isothermal studies showed that the uptake potential of IIS media was much more than IOCS media.

Comparison of Effect of Iron Tailing Sand and Natural Sand on Concrete Properties
Key Engineering Materials, 2014Mixed sands with different fineness are prepared by mixing iron tailing sand and manufactured sand at different ratio. It is shown that properties of concrete prepared with natural sand whose fineness is 2.3 are worse than that of concreter prepared with mixed sand whose fineness is between 2.6 to 3.0, but are better than that of concrete prepared with
