A new quantity characterization of some finit simple groups
In this paper, we give a new characterization of some finite simple groups in terms of orders of groups and the number of prime divisors of degrees of irreducible characters.

ABSTRACT Enhancing oil recovery (EOR) in mature reservoirs is hindered by high interfacial tension (IFT) and oil‐wet rock formations, especially under harsh, high‐salinity conditions. This study aims to overcome these limitations by synthesizing a novel carbon nanotube nanocomposite covalently grafted with polyethylenimine and non‐covalently ...

On the geometry of Poincaré's problem for one-dimensional projective foliations
We consider the question of relating extrinsic geometric characters of a smooth irreducible complex projective variety, which is invariant by a one-dimensional holomorphic foliation on a complex projective space, to geometric objects associated to the ...

Vertices for irreducible characters of a class of blocks
Let \(p\) be a prime, and let \(B\) be a \(p\)-block of a finite group \(G\) whose defect groups are contained in a \(p\)-solvable normal subgroup \(N\) of \(G\). Extending an idea of \textit{G. Navarro} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 354, No. 7, 2759-2773 (2002; Zbl 0998.20012)] the author associates with every irreducible character \(\chi\) in \(B\) pairs \((

The top panel shows the electronic band structure, which illustrates how the electronic energy varies with momentum along different high‐symmetry directions within the first Brillouin zone. Band structure determines the electronic character of a crystalline solid.

Prime divisors of irreducible character degrees [PDF]
This paper is a contribution to what is known as Huppert's \(\rho\)-\(\sigma\)-conjecture. Let \(G\) be a finite group. Let \(\rho(G)\) be the set of primes which divide some character degrees of \(G\) and \(\sigma(G)\) the largest number of distinct primes which divide a single character degree of \(G\). In 1991, B.

Abstract Patellar dislocation is a frequent emergency presentation. First‐time dislocations are associated with medial patellofemoral ligament injury in up to 94.7% of cases. Although many reduce spontaneously, reduction under anesthesia may be required.

Unitary and non-unitary N = 2 minimal models
The unitary N = 2 superconformal minimal models have a long history in string theory and mathematical physics, while their non-unitary (and logarithmic) cousins have recently attracted interest from mathematicians.

On restricting irreducible characters to normal subgroups [PDF]
This paper is about the situation where χ is an irreducible character of a finite group G and K is a normal subgroup. A construction of Serre's relating the characters of G with those of G/K is used to give a new proof of a well-known lemma concerning the case that χ \κ is irreducible and to generalize this lemma.

Abstract In this paper, we explore how neurodivergent ways of being in early education are often gendered. The intersectionalities of gender and neurodivergence often lead to fixed expectations that perpetuate binary interpretations, pathologisations, missed diagnoses and a lack of curated support.
