ABSTRACT In this paper, we propose a new test for the detection of a change in a non‐linear (auto‐)regressive time series as well as a corresponding estimator for the unknown time point of the change. To this end, we consider an at‐most‐one‐change model and approximate the unknown (auto‐)regression function by a neural network with one hidden layer. It

Wild conductor exponents of curves
Abstract We give an explicit formula for wild conductor exponents of plane curves over Qp$\mathbb {Q}_p$ in terms of standard invariants of explicit extensions of Qp$\mathbb {Q}_p$, generalising a formula for hyperelliptic curves. To do so, we prove a general result relating the wild conductor exponent of a simply branched cover of the projective line ...

On the spectrum of tridiagonal matrices with two-periodic main diagonal
We find the spectrum and eigenvectors of an arbitrary irreducible complex tridiagonal matrix with two-periodic main diagonal. This is expressed in terms of the spectrum and eigenvectors of the matrix with the same sub- and superdiagonals and zero main ...

Polymatroidal tilings and the Chow class of linked projective spaces
Abstract Linked projective spaces are quiver Grassmannians of constant dimension one of certain quiver representations, called linked nets, over certain quivers, called Zn$\mathbb {Z}^n$‐quivers. They were recently introduced as a tool for describing schematic limits of families of divisors.

The radical factors of f(x)−f(y) over finite fields
Let F denote the finite field of order q For f(x) in F[x], let f*(x,y) denote the substitution polynomial f(x)−f(y). The polynomial f*(x,y) has frequently been used in questions on the values set of f(x) In this paper we consider the irreducible factors ...

The fundamental group of the complement of a generic fiber‐type curve
Abstract In this paper, we describe and characterize the fundamental group of the complement of generic fiber‐type curves, that is, unions of (the closure of) finitely many generic fibers of a component‐free pencil F=[f:g]:CP2⤍CP1$F=[f:g]:\mathbb {C}\mathbb {P}^2\dashrightarrow \mathbb {C}\mathbb {P}^1$.

Vector-Valued Jack Polynomials from Scratch
Vector-valued Jack polynomials associated to the symmetric group S_N are polynomials with multiplicities in an irreducible module of S_N and which are simultaneous eigenfunctions of the Cherednik-Dunkl operators with some additional properties concerning

ALGORITHM FOR SOLVING SYSTEMS OF LINEAR EQUATIONS IN FIELD Fpk
Basic theoretical concepts of finite fields area are considered, including concepts of residue field and extension of residue field. The algorithms necessary for constructing extensions ef residue fields are given: a Rabin test for checking ...

P-irreducibility of binding polynomials
The authors present a new criterion for positive polynomials of degree 3 or 4, which can be expressed only by the coefficients of the given polynomials without finding the roots location first. The derived results are useful for studying many physiological processes.
