Investigations were carried out in a split plot design replicated thrice with two levels of imrigation (0.50 IW/CPE ratio and 0.75 IW/CPE ratio), three methods of irrigation (all furrow method. alternate furrow method and paired skip furrow method) and three levels of nitrogen (75, 125 and 175 kg N ha-1.

[Irrigation management at the farm level]

Irrigation management at the farm level

Yield and Quality Characteristics of Drip‐Irrigated Soybean under Different Irrigation Levels
Agronomy Journal, 2018Core Ideas Different irrigation levels affected the yield and quality components of soybean. Deficit irrigation decreased soybean protein content. Water deficit treatments caused an increase in the oil content in soybean. Soybean can be irrigated to 75% of Class A pan evaporation in semiarid conditions with limited water resources.

Automatic Control of Flows and Levels in an Irrigation Canal
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 2009Modernization of irrigation canals is becoming a strategic issue in many areas of the world with the purpose of improving the efficiency and the operational flexibility in water delivery. Apparently, small deviations in keeping flows at the desired scheduled values can lead to significant waste of water, which is particularly important in arid ...

Lateral Sizes for Efficient Level-Basin Irrigation
Transactions of the ASAE, 1981ABSTRACT THIS paper describes a procedure by which a comput-erized data base of irrigated fields in a section of the Grand Valley was sorted to determine those fields with deep enough soils and mild enough slopes for practical basin leveling. Irrigation flow rate requirements for effi-cient watering of the resulting basins were determined.

Effect of Irrigation Level and Land Configuration on Beetroot
Journal of Experimental Agriculture InternationalIn recent scenario of limiting water and land resources and beetroot is sensitive to water deficits broad bed and furrow planting technique is one of the new agronomic systems since its water saving and better nutrient utilization property which results in higher root yield.
