Towards an attract‐and‐reward strategy: evaluating nectar resources and HIPVs under laboratory conditions to enhance Aphelinus mali parasitism activity, a key parasitoid of Eriosoma lanigerum

Euphorbia segetalis is a promising attractant insectary plant for Aphelinus mali. Meanwhile, Vicia faba and Vicia sativa are a promising nectar resource to sustain the parasitoid in early spring when the population of Eriosoma lanigerum is low, and honeydew is scarce.

Efficacy evaluation of pneumatic solid set canopy delivery system to control powdery mildew (Erysiphe necator) in Washington vineyards

The findings of this study indicate that powdery mildew control achieved with the pneumatic solid set canopy delivery system (PSD‐SSCDS) was comparable with that of a conventional airblast sprayer. Fuzzy postprocessing of seasonal climate forecasts for semiarid river basins

Meteorological forecasts from AI‐based fuzzy rule‐based system (FRB) are compared to linear scaling (LS) and quantile mapping (QM). Seasonal forecasts from the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) are considered. Results show that the highest skill is achieved for the FRB approach.

Avoiding the ‘One‐Size‐Fits‐All’ Trap in Policy‐Based Monitoring

ABSTRACT Policy‐based monitoring programmes often fail to yield the information required to assess and improve policies and plans. A dominant cause of this problem is the ‘one‐size‐fits‐all’ (OSFA) trap—a failure to recognise that several, complementary types of monitoring are required to support effective policy.
