ON THE ECONOMICS OF IRRIGATION WITH SALINE WATER: A DYNAMIC ANALYSIS
The authors treat an interesting mathematical model from the area of ``mathematical ecology''. They construct a dynamic model of soil irrigation process and analyse its negative consequences -- the soil salinity problem. The model takes the form of an optimum control problem with discounted profits maximization function. The paper includes the proof of

An adhesive hydrogel depot with polyphenol‐armored nanogenes is developed for treating aged osteoarthritis. This system maintains miR‐140 bioactivity, prolongs its intra‐articular retention, and enhances transfection into chondrocytes, leading to the downregulation of senescence‐associated pathways.

Lesion Site‐Targeted Microspheres Modulate Nav1.7‐Related Signaling for Osteoarthritis Treatment
Cartilage‐targeted carbamazepine‐loaded WYRGRL‐modified composite microspheres (CBZ/WCOM) anchor to exposed type II collagen in osteoarthritic lesions and release carbamazepine under acidic conditions. This bind‐then‐release platform modulates Nav1.7‐related sodium signaling, Na⁺/Ca²⁺ exchanger‐associated Ca2+ dynamics, and heat shock protein 70 ...

Treatment‐resistant wounds caused by polymicrobial biofilms are refractory to conventional therapies due to the dense extracellular matrices. We developed μBLAST, a microblasting wound dressing that combines MnO2‐doped biosilica and a H2O2‐releasing mesh to generate localized oxygen microbubbles that mechanically disrupt biofilms.

Study of The Effect of Saline Water on Rice Yield under Water Stress Conditions [PDF]
The aim of this study is to assess the consequences of coincidence of water and salinity stress on yield of a popular local rice variety. A factorial pot experiment using a randomized complete blocks design with three replications was carried out at the ...

EFFECT OF IRRIGATION WATER SALINITY LEVELS AND DIFFERENT ORGANIC MANURES COMBINED WITH BIO-FERTILIZERS ON GROWTH OF CONOCARPUS ERECTUS L. TRANSPLANTS [PDF]
A pot experiment was conducted in the Orman Botanical Garden, Giza, Egypt, during two successive seasons of 2014 and 2015 to study the effect of different saline water levels (970, 5000, 8000 and 12000 ppm) and organic manure (cattle manure and chicken ...

This study utilized alloy micro‐galvanic coupling design to regulate the release of essential elements, thereby programming immune responses and promoting regeneration. The sacrificial anodic process of Zn‐0.8Mg reduced Zn2+ release compared to the “large cathode‐small anode” coupling of Zn‐0.8Fe.

Matching soil salinization and cropping systems in communally managed irrigation schemes
Occurrence of soil salinization in irrigation schemes can be a good indicator to introduce high salt tolerant crops in irrigation schemes. This study assessed the level of soil salinization in a communally managed 233 ha Nkhate irrigation scheme in the ...
