Unveiling Localized Heat in Lithium‐Ion Cells for Intelligent Temperature Sensing
Heat generation, thermal responses, and intelligent management in batteries. Lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) power electric vehicles, portable electronics, and grid‐scale storage, yet their safety, performance, and lifetime are constrained by thermal effects.

Reducing the length of a Goldberg Based Personality Questionnaire using Item Response Theory & Confirmatory Factor Analysis : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Masters of Science in Psychology at Massey University, Albany, New Zealand [PDF]
Objectives: This study seeks to reconstitute an existing personality questionnaire by identifying the items that capture the best quality information as measured through item Response Theory (IRT).

The Ca II infrared triplet's performance as an activity indicator compared to Ca II H and K
Aims. A large number of Calcium Infrared Triplet (IRT) spectra are expected from the GAIA- and CARMENES missions. Conversion of these spectra into known activity indicators will allow analysis of their temporal evolution to a better degree. We set out to

Objective Bone destruction associated with active rheumatoid arthritis (RA) remains a major therapeutic challenge, with a lack of reliable molecular markers reflecting bone injury. This study aims to identify novel biomarkers linked to bone destruction in active RA through proteomic analysis, providing new strategies for precise monitoring and targeted

Wage reactions to regional and national unemployment
Abstract This paper analyses the entire wage effects of unemployment for an especially long observation period. In a three‐step approach, the wage reaction at the national level (wage‐setting curve or aggregate wage equation) is added to the reaction at the regional level (wage curve). Spatial models with instrumental variables are used.

Pancreatitis-Associated Protein in Neonatal Screening for Cystic Fibrosis: Strengths and Weaknesses
There are currently four countries and one local region in Europe that use PAP in their newborn screening programme. The first country to employ PAP at a national level was the Netherlands, which started using IRT/PAP/DNA/EGA in 2011. Germany followed in

Joint Maximum Likelihood Estimates on Items-examinees Using the Prox Method: a Study on the Reading Subtest of Toefl [PDF]
Item response theory (IRT) emerges as an accurate solution to the weaknesses of the classical test theory (CTT). IRT provides more advantages than CTT does.
