The Dynamics of Interfacial Trap States in High‐Detectivity Near‐Infrared Photomultiplication Organic Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Photomultiplication organic photodetectors (PM OPDs) are an attractive strategy for health‐monitoring. Here, PM‐OPDs are reported with a specific detectivity of 5.7 × 1012 Jones and external quantum efficiency values of 3500% under −10 V. The dynamics of carrier trapping in these devices are elucidated through trap selective spectroscopical techniques.

Dual‐Percolative Planar‐Heterojunction Photoactive System for High‐Performance Stretchable Organic Photovoltaics Enhancing Power Output under Strain

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A dual‐percolative planar‐heterojunction photoactive architecture enables intrinsically stretchable organic photovoltaics that combine high photovoltaic efficiency with enhanced mechanical robustness. Abstract Intrinsically stretchable organic solar cells (IS‐OSCs) are promising candidates for wearable power sources due to their ability to deform in ...

Population genetics and phylogeographic history of the insular lizard Podarcis lilfordi (Gunther, 1874) from the Balearic Islands based on genome‐wide polymorphic data

open access: yesEcology and Evolution
Islands provide a great system to explore the processes that maintain genetic diversity and promote local adaptation. We explored the genomic diversity of the Balearic lizard Podarcis lilfordi, an endemic species characterized by numerous small insular ...

Proteins, Processing, and Properties of Adhesive Fluid Condensates Purified from Mussels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Mussels exhibit an unmatched proficiency for adhering to wet surfaces in salty environments—a remarkable ability that could inspire new biomedical and technical glues. The fluid protein condensates used to form the underwater mussel glue are extracted, reconstituted and characterized with advanced spectroscopy and nanomechanical analysis, revealing ...

Muskrat Island: Behavioral Shifts of an Insular Muskrat (Ondatra zibethicus) Population in the Gulf of Maine

open access: yesEcology and Evolution
The aftermath of the North American fur trade resulted in the depletion of many furbearing mammal populations in their native North American range while simultaneously creating invasive populations of these species through translocations worldwide. Here,

An Ionic Gelation Powder for Ultrafast Hemostasis and Accelerated Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An ultrafast ionic gelation‐activated hemostatic powder (AGCL) forms a hydrogel within ≈1 s upon contact with blood‐derived calcium ions. The AGCL powder enables rapid hemorrhage control, strong tissue adhesion, and enhanced healing. The powder's pre‐crosslinked polymer network ensures high blood uptake and stability, offering effective treatment for ...

First Attempts at DNA Barcoding Lepidoptera in North Cyprus Reveal Unexpected Complexities in Taxonomic and Faunistic Issues

open access: yesDiversity
The fauna of Lepidoptera in the Mediterranean is still inadequately documented. As a result, even remotely complete DNA barcode libraries (mt. COI (cytochrome c oxidase 1) gene) are lacking in most areas. This proposed gap is being analyzed for the first
